The exact cause of gingivostomatitis, a painful condition in cats, is not known but is believed to be caused by an immune response to plaque on their teeth. This inflammation can bring immense discomfort to our furry friends. While conservative treatments can provide temporary relief by reducing inflammation and controlling mouth bacteria, they aren't a long-term solution.
That's where full mouth extractions come in, to improve or resolve the condition. Studies have shown that 2/3 of affected cats will have complete resolution of stomatitis.
