👂🐶🐱 Not all ear scratching is “just an itch.”

If your dog or cat is shaking their head, scratching their ears, or has a funky smell coming from their ears, it could be more than a minor irritation.

⚠️ Common ear problems include:
🔹 Ear mites
🔹 Bacterial infections
🔹 Yeast infections
🔹 Allergies
🔹 Foreign bodies (like grass seeds)

Left untreated, ear disease can become painful and lead to chronic problems.

💡 Healthy ears are clean, comfortable, and odour-free. If your pet’s ears are red, smelly, painful, or producing discharge, it’s time for a check-up.

🐾 The sooner ear disease is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat—and the happier your pet will be! Call us on 041 3734243 for an appointment to have your pet’s ears checked.

🐶⬇️ Jumping Down May Look Harmless—But It Can Take a Toll on Your Dog’s Joints.

Every jump off a bed, couch, or vehicle puts impact on your dog’s joints, spine, and muscles. Over time, that repeated stress can contribute to pain and injury—especially in puppies, seniors, and breeds prone to back or joint problems.

✨ Benefits of using a ramp:
✔️ Reduces strain on joints and hips
✔️ Protects the spine and back
✔️ Helps prevent injuries from awkward landings
✔️ Makes life easier for senior dogs and those with arthritis
✔️ Builds confidence for small or recovering dogs

🐾 A ramp isn’t just a convenience—it’s an investment in your dog’s long-term mobility and comfort.

💙 Save the jump today. Protect the zoomies tomorrow.

Meet Charlie 🦮❤️

Charlie is a sweet girl with a big love for toys… maybe a little too much love 😅

She came in not eating and vomiting. X-rays showed a large, static gas-filled loop in her intestines, raising concern for an obstruction.

An exploratory laparotomy (ex-lap) was performed, and we found the cause: a rubber piece of a toy lodged in her small intestine.

The foreign body was successfully removed, and Charlie is now recovering well and back to her playful self 🥰❤️‍🩹

🐶 Is Your Dog Itching More Than They’re Wagging?

Constant scratching, licking paws, ear infections, and red skin aren’t just annoying—they could be signs of allergies.

🌼 Allergies in dogs can be triggered by:
✔️ Environmental factors (pollen, dust, grass)
✔️ Food ingredients
✔️ Flea bites

Don’t let your best friend suffer in silence. Early diagnosis and proper treatment can make a world of difference.

🐶🤝🐱 On this Youth Day, the socialisation clock is ticking for puppies and kittens!

The first weeks shape a lifetime of confidence.

✨ Puppies: Prime socialisation window = 3–10 weeks
✨ Kittens: Prime socialisation window = 4-8 weeks

During this time, positive experiences with people, pets, sounds, sights, and handling help create calm, adaptable companions.

💡 Socialise early. Socialise kindly. Socialise often.

Because the confidence you build today becomes the behaviour you enjoy tomorrow. ❤️🐾
