Tick Bite Fever:

We have had a huge spike in biliary cases this past month.
Both our cats and dogs are affected and the severity of which varies. Tick bite fever can be fatal even with intensive veterinary care and hospitalization.

Please we urge our pet parents to ensure that their Tick and flea treatment is up to date. Correct and registered products for animals should be used.

Use of Tick and flea treatment decreases the chance of transfer of the disease, however there is still a risk.

What to look for in your pets:
Lethargy
Inappetence
Fever
Pale or yellow gums

Sweet female calico cat approx 3years old. She was hit by a car on 6th Avenue. A client brought her in. Unfortunately she passed on her way in to the clinic. If we can give the owners closure, please send them our way.

2year old approx, male intact found in k**a park. He was actively seizuring upon arrival and needed sedation. No microchip but he does have a collar without a tag.
