Whether your cat loves being carried around like a baby or prefers to show affection from a respectful distance, today is the perfect reminder to celebrate the special bond we share with our feline friends.

Just remember—not every cat enjoys hugs! The best way to show your cat some love is by respecting their boundaries and interacting in ways they enjoy, whether that's cuddling, playing, brushing, or sharing a favorite treat.

Patient of the week: Meet Carl 💙

Carl is one handsome and very loved boy! After being rescued from an abusive situation and being thrown off of a pool table, he found the safe and loving home he deserved — and now spends his days completely spoiled by his mommy. 🐾

Recently, Carl was diagnosed with TWO cruciate tares and will be undergoing surgery to help get him back on his paws. Even with everything going on, he continues to be the sweetest patient and keeps everyone at ECVMC smiling.

We’re wishing Carl the smoothest surgery and recovery possible, and we’re so honored to be part of his journey. Everyone wish him good luck! ✨

Veterinary medicine takes teamwork… and a lot of specialized tools! 🩺✂️

To put our knowledge to the test, we tried “Become the Veterinary Tool” and quickly learned that some instruments are much easier to identify than they are to imitate.

From bandage scissors to clippers, each tool plays an important role in helping us provide safe, efficient care for our patients.

Sometimes a simple snack can make a big difference during treatments, exams, and procedures. Using treats as positive reinforcement and distraction tools helps create a less stressful experience for our patients while building trust and comfort during their visit 🤍

Happy Memorial Day from the Team at ECVMC.

Today we take a moment to remember the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes who lost their life in service to our great nation. We are thankful for all who serve our country and our pause today reflects on the bravery and commitment made that has benefited each of us, especially when the ultimate sacrifice was made to keep our freedoms intact.

Our gratitude is immeasurable. We also realized the commitment from the family that supported these heroes and want to thank them for the sacrifices made in support of their family who served.

ECVMC is OPEN today for emergency cases. We tend to be busy during these holiday weekends as most other providers are closed. Thank you to the team who are working today to ensure these pet emergencies can be cared for.

Please thank the team for giving up their holiday to serve you and your pet. We appreciate their commitment to excellence and to be here for you and your pet when you need them.
