Good morning from a couple of handsome Pine Valley patients! Today's spotlight features Oliver, shared by his mom Molly, and Archie, shared by his mom Carol. We couldn't resist sharing these sweet faces! 💙

We've had so much fun sharing some of our patients over the past few weeks. Thank you to everyone who sent in photos. Keep them coming. We'd love to spotlight more of our patients again soon!

Mace wasn't feeling his best, so his mom brought him in to see us. After some TLC and treatment, we're happy to report he's feeling much better now and was even willing to shake on it 🤝💙

Healthy, happy, and back to being a good boy.

We thought it might be fun to start a little breed spotlight series...

✨COLLIES✨

Known for their intelligence, loyalty, and gentle personalities, Collies are one of the most recognizable dog breeds out there. Lassie definitely helped with that. 😄 There are actually two types of Collies: Rough Collies, like our model Anne with her long, beautiful coat, and Smooth Collies, who have the same classic look with a much shorter coat.

Originally bred in Scotland and Northern England as herding dogs, Collies are incredibly smart and thrive with activity, companionship, and lots of mental stimulation. Grooming is also a big part of caring for a Collie, especially Rough Collies, since their coats need regular brushing to help prevent mats and keep shedding under control.

On the health side of things, some Collies can carry a genetic mutation called MDR1, which can make them sensitive to certain medications, another reason regular veterinary care is so important for the breed.

Bill shared this adorable photo with us, and we love getting to see what our patients are up to when they're at home. 💙

📸We’ll only be doing our Patient Spotlight posts for a little while longer, so if you haven’t shared your pet with us yet, send us a DM or tag us in your post. We’d love to feature them next!

Congratulations to Kristine on her Fletcher Award! 🐾💚
Clients consistently mention her kindness, attentiveness, and the way she helps both pets and owners feel more comfortable during their visits. We’re so happy to see her recognized for the care she gives every day.

Way to go, Kristine! 👏

If someone on our team made a difference during your visit, you can leave them a Fletcher Award through our website so we can recognize them for the care they provide.

Just a heads up, if you see comments offering Pine Valley merchandise or suspicious links, they are NOT affiliated with us. Unfortunately, this is a common Facebook scam that affects many business pages. These accounts may pretend to represent businesses, work for them, or even appear to be the business itself.

Pine Valley Animal Hospital will never:
• Tag followers to sell merchandise
• Post shopping links in comments
• Ask for payments/sensitive info through Facebook comments or private messages

This is our only official Facebook business page. We wanted to share this as a precaution because these scams can happen across many accounts you follow online. We do our best to monitor and remove them. Reporting suspicious comments/accounts to Facebook can help tremendously.
