Sending our thoughts and prayers to everyone at Pocopson Vet.
We ordered food for Sulley from the online pharmacy and they sent the wrong bag. Sulley eats the RCVD K 9 Gastrointestinal High Fiber 17LB food and they sent the LOW FAT. I spoke to the pharmacy today and they are refunding us for that bag and are waiting for approval from you for the correct food. Hoping that can be approved and we can get the new food as Sulley is completely out and not eating what we have.
When you have been involved in rescue for as long as our Directors have been you understand the importance of a village. There is no doubt our wonderful village extended Phoebe’s quality of life. The support we received for Phoebe has been phenomenal and we are so grateful. First and foremost, her foster home amazed us on a daily basis. Despite many nights of lost sleep and many interrupted schedules they never complained and were always looking for more ways to improve Phoebe’s life over their own. We’d also like to acknowledge the following individuals who helped to enhance our girl’s life.
Dr. Rachel Dialectos and the team at Wyomissing Animal Hospital
Pocopson Veterinary Station
Kellie Wensing - Petco Grooming, Pottstown
Sarah McKillip - The House That Fur Built
Mary Ann Geoff - The Mutt Hutt
Kelly Cabot-Armour - The Virtuous Dog
Shelly Young Lewis who generously donated diabetic supplies
Our social media friends and family who provided so much support and encouragement
Our friends that donated to support her care
Phoebe’s fans who frequently visited public events when they knew Phoebe would be there
On behalf of the ASR Board of Directors, we thank you all!

It's National Veterinary Day and we'd like to thank all of the wonderful vets that work with us to keep our guests healthy. Pork Chop is resting comfortably in foster care with the Cafe’s assistant manager.
She earned a certificate of courage from Pocopson Veterinary Station for her bravery in surgery today!
Unfortunately, Porky’s inner ear mass had grown so large it actually ruptured her eardrum, which caused a lot of bleeding the other day that led us to have her checked out. The mass has been mostly removed and biopsies are being sent out. We’re hoping the mass is benign. 🤞🏻
In addition to the mass removal, Porky had a few teeth extracted.
More unfortunate news came during a pre-op exam, however. Porky’s knees were very swollen and after an x-ray, it seems she has pretty severe arthritis. Considering she is overweight and very sedentary, all of this made a lot of sense.
At this time, Porky will be considered a special needs adoption. She is absolutely available for adoption and we will require impeccable veterinary references for anyone interested in adopting her. This sweet girl needs a loving home that will help her be as comfortable as possible for the length of her life (however long that may be)!
We are still collecting donations to help pay for Porky’s surgery And impending medical bills. Please continue to share/donate and email
[email protected] if you would be interested in sponsoring Porky until adopted.
Until she returns to the Cafe, she is happy and purring in her own recovery suite. She is such a love! Shown here purring and kneading the towel in her cave. She is a true love bug and would be a wonderful addition to someone’s home.
Our sweet sweet Porky is undergoing surgery today at Pocopson Veterinary Station to remove a mass in her ear. Prior to Treetops, Porky was notorious for chronic ear infections and it was treated topically and never investigated further. We found out she has a mass and we’re not sure how bad it is yet. She will also be having some extensive dental work done. Thoughts for our little Pork Chop!
Her vet bills total about $400.
Can you help us out? Every little bit helps. Please share and like this post to help draw attention! Thank you for your support!
Our new arrival, Blondie just came back from a visit at Pocopson Veterinary Station and she's very sleepy!
We hope Blondie will be out soon, but we're allowing her to take some time to acclimate to her new surroundings. She arrived on 2/13 after getting her shots and check-up. When we let her out this morning to explore the Cafe, she started to limp and we got very worried about her, so...off to the vet! Pocopson Vet was incredible with her. Thinking her limping was a reaction to her vaccines the other day, she was given some pain relief and is now sleeping off her trip.
Blondie is about 5 years old, spayed, and up to date on her shots. She is very sweet and vocal! Come in next week to meet her! We hope she will be ready to socialize by then!
