Dear Valued Clients of Veterinary Oncology Services & Research Center,

After over 30 years of providing exemplary and compassionate veterinary oncology services in West Chester, we are very sad to announce that VOSRC will be closing.

Dr. Jeglum will be taking an unexpected early retirement due to her recent health issues. She is heartbroken that she will not be able to continue to care for your pets and to work with you. Instead, she will be focusing on her own health and rehabilitation care.

All clients are now advised to seek continued oncology care for their pets at other referral facilities. Many of the referral centers in the region have wait lists for new oncology patients so we advise that you start the process of seeking a veterinary oncologist soon.

Please see the list below for some of the recommended referral centers in this region. We can help you find a referral center or veterinary oncologist close to you if you reside outside of the area.

Please contact our office by phone or email to have your pets’ medical records forwarded to their new facility in advance of their first appointment. Email is preferred due to our office hours being limited.

The staff and doctors at VOSRC will greatly miss being a part of your pets’ healthcare team and interacting with you at their oncology appointments.

Anything that potentially could cause cancer in a human likely can cause cancer in our pets. For instance, animals also may get skin cancers related to sun exposure.

Paying attention to these and other “common sense” things may help reduce the likelihood of your pet developing cancer. 🐾
