Jesse Henry Zeldenthuis, the entire team at Triple Crown Feed will be rooting for you and Team USA at the APHA Youth World Games! 🎉
“We could not be more proud of Jesse Henry Zeldenthuis, a 16-year-old from Loma, Colorado, who is representing Team USA at the Games in Kreuth, Germany!
This journey started back in December 2025 when Jesse applied for the opportunity to be a part of Team USA. And what a process it was!
She traveled all the way to California to ride horses she had never ridden before, simply to get the required videos for her application. She completed a detailed biography, wrote an essay about herself and why she would be a great addition to Team USA, and documented the community involvement she has been part of.
Out of all the applicants, only FIVE youth were selected to represent the United States. When Jesse’s name was announced, we were absolutely overwhelmed with pride.
For the last seven months, Jesse has worked tirelessly to prepare. She has been in the barn riding multiple horses 5–6 days a week, constantly learning, improving, and pushing herself to be ready for whatever horse she may draw.
Her biggest fear isn’t competing, it’s letting her team down.
That alone says so much about the kind of teammate and young woman she is.
Now, Jesse and her Team USA teammates have made the long journey to Germany, and they are having an incredible experience preparing for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
On August 25, the draw party will take place. Horses from each discipline will go into a hat, and each youth competitor from every country will draw a horse. They will then have just 15 minutes with that horse and their coach to prepare.
The next day? Show clothes on. Meet the horse at the entry gate. Get on. And ride straight into the show ring.
Talk about being prepared for anything!
We are incredibly excited to watch Jesse take on this challenge, and we could not be more proud or supportive of her. She has worked for this moment every single day, and now she gets to represent her country doing what she loves most.
