Herd vaccinations with help from vet techs from the Milo Foundation & always a wonderful perk, farm fresh eggs. Plus our amazing farrier Russell Murphy & his dog Mabel. Russell is so good with our horses. Even our most difficult horse, Pony, loves him.

Congratulations to Heather G & family on their adoption of Simon Valentine, our formerly feral Shetland pony mix.

Simon came to us after having wandered from his herd onto a road where he was injured by a car & caught.

Simon is approximately 5 years old & was an intact male when we got him.

He's a very sweet, willing & personable guy & we are very happy & at the same time a bit teary eyed at his departure. However, in reality Simon was not a Sanctuary candidate so we did what was best for him.

When times are dark the Sanctuary & its horses are a restoring tonic.

We have a new horse, a 33 yo Arabian mare named Pepsi, Sarah completed another stretch of fencing, we have a new roof & gutters up at the ranch house & the horses are enjoying an early spring.

Our stall cleaner Maddie is out with a sports injury so Board Director Giny & Exec Dir Karin pitched in while Sierra & Maddie, designated driver, did the pm feeding.

As of January 1st, 2026 Easy Day (Easy) officially joined the Neigh Savers' herd.We still hope we may find the right fit...

As of January 1st, 2026 Easy Day (Easy) officially joined the Neigh Savers' herd.

We still hope we may find the right fit for this Easy going mare. She has a case of mild ringbone in one foot but with maintenance should be rideable.
