July is Lost Pet Prevention Month

Arizona summers bring heat, guests, and loud celebrations—all of which can spook pets and lead to escapes. Let’s prevent lost pet heartache before it starts with these tips from Dr. Martin and the Desert Paws care team:

✅ Double-check ID tags and microchips – Up-to-date info helps get pets home fast.
✅ Reinforce your home – Scan fences, doors, and windows for weak points.
✅ Use caution outdoors – Parks and open areas are great, but leashes are safer.
✅ Keep photos ready – A recent pic is crucial if your pet ever goes missing.

Lost or found a pet? Reach out—we're here to help!

🎆 Keep Your Pets Safe This Fourth of July! – From Your Friends At Desert Paws Mobile Vet 🐾

Fireworks and festivities can be stressful—and even dangerous—for pets. At Desert Paws Mobile Veterinary Clinic, we want to help you keep your furry friends calm and protected this coming holiday.

🔊 Fireworks Fright
Keep pets indoors—even outdoor-loving pets can panic and flee.

Create a quiet space with soft music, fans, or white noise.

Ask us about calming aids if your pet has severe anxiety.

🍗 Party Food Hazards
No table scraps—foods like ribs, corn cobs, grapes, and sweets can be harmful.

Keep trash secure to avoid late-night snack disasters.

☀️ Tucson Heat Reminder
Limit outdoor time and always provide water—Arizona summers are no joke.

🐶 ID Is a Must
Double-check tags & microchips—just in case your pet bolts from the noise.

📞 Have questions? Need calming options? Call Desert Paws Mobile Vet at 520-833-2134 or visit our website www.desertpaws.com!

☀️ Summer is HERE, Tucson!
As the temps rise, let’s keep our four-legged family members cool & safe!

Here are some tips from our team at Desert Paws Mobile Veterinary Care:

🌵 Hydrate Often – Always pack extra water to take on outings
🌵 Avoid Hot Sidewalks – If it's too hot for your feet, it's too hot for their paws
🌵 Shade is a Must – Keep pets cool with a break from the sun
🌵 Limit Sun Exposure – Morning or evening walks are best
🌵 No Pets in Cars – Not even for “just a second!”

Share your pets Summer Adventures and tag us using so we can follow along with all the fun you and your pet are having this summer! 🐶

☀️ 🐶 It's Officially the 1st Day of Summer, Here is a Cautious Reminder from your Friends, The Desert Paws Care Team:

We all know how intense Tucson summers can be. Even short stops can turn a car into a dangerous space for pets.

If you're tempted to run a quick errand with your pup in the car—even with the AC just turned off—it’s important to know that heat builds fast. Even a few minutes can make a big difference.

🐾 Safer summer alternatives include:

• Leaving pets home in the AC
• Shopping curbside or using delivery
• Sticking to truly pet-friendly outings

We know how much you love your pets—thank you for keeping them safe in this desert heat! ♥️

Pets bring so much love into our homes — and so many are still waiting for one. 💜

This week is Pet Appreciation Week, and to celebrate, consider making a difference by:

🐾 Donating to a local shelter
🐾 Volunteering your time
🐾 Fostering or adopting a pet in need

Let’s show our appreciation by giving back to animals who deserve a second chance.
