We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Casey Birkel has joined our team as a second full time Neurologist. She has jumped right in and has already seen multiple cases, performed MRIs and several surgeries. She is a welcomed addition to our expanding neurology service and is excited to offer her expertise to our community.

As part of our commitment to continuing education, TVS offers monthly case rounds for clinicians and UofA College of Veterinary Medicine students. This month our Board Certified Cardiologist, Dr. Robert Sanders, offered his expertise on "Management of Asymptomatic Patients with Heart Disease ".

We are excited to welcome Dr. Brisa Hsieh, DVM to the TVS team!

Dr. Hsieh is now scheduling for Internal Medicine consultations and diagnostics.

Tucson Veterinary Specialists is excited to announce that we are now equipped with the latest STORZ VITOM 3D MICROSURGERY UNIT! We are the only Neurology clinic in Arizona with this new technology. Offering shorter, minimally-invasive visualization of the surgical area and precise surgical intervention. This minimizes tissue damage and scarring for our patients while providing less post-operative pain. We are also able to record videos and take pictures during the procedure. For the clients interested, we will be able to show their pet’s procedure, which will help to visually explain what was done during surgery. Less traumatic surgeries allow us to offer outpatient procedures, which is not usually offered with previous traditional techniques.

It's been two years! We celebrated our 2nd anniversary on April 14th and did some team activities to celebrate at Topgolf. It's been an honor and privilege to be able to continue to grow and serve our community for the past 2 years. It has flown by for us! We are continuing to expand our specialties... please stay tuned for more information. Thank you to our wonderful clients, patients, and referring veterinarians. You allow us to continue to do what we love.

Tuesdays, twice a month, are our Valley Fever days in addition to our usual neurology and radiology appointment schedule.
We love helping our doctors who specialize in Valley Fever treatment, and we especially love these hilarious shirts that a student at The Valley Fever Center of Excellence had made. The official name for Valley Fever is coccidioidomycosis. Try saying that 10 times fast.
