Healing isn’t something I do to a pet.

It’s something their body does.

My job is to help create the conditions in the cat’s or dog’s body that allow that process to happen.

That’s why nutrition is such a powerful tool.

Every meal provides the nutrients the body needs.

It can support:
🦠 the microbiome
🔥 inflammation regulation
🛡️ immune function
🌱 tissue repair

As an integrative veterinarian, I focus on supporting the body with what it needs to function at its best.

Cats are not small dogs. 🐈

And cat parents know it.

Cats have different needs.

Different biology.
Different behaviors.
Different nutritional requirements.
Different ways of communicating.

From nutrition and enrichment to handling and healthcare, a cat-centered approach can make a huge difference in their quality of life.

As veterinarians and pet professionals, understanding those differences helps us provide better care.

🐈 What’s one thing you wish more people understood about cats?

One thing I want pet parents to know:
You don’t have to be perfect.

Every day, I meet people who deeply love their pets and are trying to make the best decisions they can.

They’ve followed advice.
They’ve bought supplements.
They’ve switched foods.
They’ve spent hours researching online.

And sometimes they still feel guilty.

Most pet parents are just overwhelmed.

🐾 Which one of these situations have you experienced?

A natural diet for pets is simply an approach that prioritizes whole, nutrient-dense and less processed foods that aim to work with the body’s biology rather than against it.

The body uses nutrients to:
🌱 repair tissues
🛡️ support immunity
🔥 regulate inflammation
🦠 nourish the gut microbiome

Nutrition is one of the few health decisions we make for our pets every single day that impacts the most.

🐾 What does your pet currently eat?

One of the simplest things I recommend to pet parents?

Read the label.

Not the marketing claims on the front of the bag.

The ingredient list on the back.

The label helps you understand what’s actually in it.

As an integrative veterinarian, I encourage pet parents to become curious about what they’re feeding.

Ask yourself:
🥩 Where is the protein coming from?
🌿 Are the ingredients recognizable?
🦠 What is supporting the gut microbiome?
🔥 How processed is this food?

You don’t have to become a nutrition expert overnight.

But understanding what’s in your pet’s bowl is one of the most powerful things you can do for their long-term health.

💛 Have you ever taken the time to read the ingredient list on your pet’s food?

When Sully first came in, he was struggling with skin allergies, rashes, ear infections, foot infections...

For seven years his pet parents have been working with different veterinarians to improve Sully’s condition.

They tried multiple medications, such as Atopica, Apiquel, steroids, and histamines.

We decided to run some allergy testing and microbiome work. Based on that, we landed on an all-natural diet called Carni4 and some supplements.

Six months later, Sully is showing an incredible coat, with no sores and no odor. 🐕

The transformation you see here isn’t just healthier skin. It’s a healthier dog.

One of the biggest mistakes in pain management?

Waiting until the pain becomes severe.

In many cases, pets benefit from support before pain escalates.

This is often called “pre-dosing” or proactive pain support.

The goal is to stay ahead of the pain cycle instead of constantly reacting to it.

Because once pain intensifies, the nervous system can become more sensitive and harder to calm down.

Had you ever heard of proactive pain support before?
