At Canine Social, we're all about ensuring your dog's health and safety because it's our top priority! One of the great benefits of choosing our doggy daycare over a day at the dog park is our strict health protocols.
Here's what we require:
💉Rabies
💉DAPP (also known as DHPP)
💉Bordetella
💩Negative f***l testing
Monthly flea & tick prevention
Why do we insist on these?
•Rabies shots are essential to safeguard dogs (and humans!) from this deadly disease, especially in close-contact settings as well as it being a legal requirement in Illinois.
•The DAPP vaccine shields your dog from several contagious and potentially deadly diseases like Distemper, Hep, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus.
•The Bordetella vaccination is crucial for preventing kennel cough, a highly infectious respiratory illness that spreads easily in dog social settings.
•Fecal testing is another key component of our health plan as it helps detect intestinal parasites that can pass from dog to dog (and sometimes humans even too 🤢).

❗️ While the canine influenza vaccine isn't mandatory, we strongly advise it for added protection. It's crucial to understand that, although vaccinations greatly lower the risk and severity of illness, there's still a chance a vaccinated dog could contract the disease ❗️
