🏆 5 DAYS OF WHY WE'RE THE BEST!
DAY 4: EDUCATION
We're never going to do something just because "that's how it's always been done."
We're constantly learning, trying new things, and looking for ways to make the pet care industry better for both dogs, their people, and other facilities!
In fact, we invest roughly $1,200 EVERY MONTH into continuing education at FPC! 🤯
Our groomers have access to grooming education subscriptions, our daycare team has their own educational subscriptions and books, and we've created incentives for our employees to continue learning that even come with raises!
We're also working on internal certificates of completion that team members will need to earn before offering certain services. Because we believe education and hands-on experience should come BEFORE responsibility.
And we don't just invest in education. We use what we learn to rethink how things are done!
Take our Daycare Audition Process, for example. Instead of offering a free first day like most places, we require a 1-hour consultation, TWO full daycare days, and then a conversation about which program would be the best fit for your dog.
Properly getting to know a dog and finding the safest group for them takes time, knowledge, and intention.
We're also working behind the scenes on something we're SO excited about... a two-day puppy grooming training program!
It will include a 30-minute lesson for owners on how to properly groom and care for their puppies at home. Because we want to help set puppies AND their families up for success from the very beginning!
We are so lucky to get to share our knowledge and experiences because the dogs deserve that, and so do the people who trust us with them!
