We provide many services for the animals in our area, including adoption, education, and investigation. Viewing hours are Mon- Sat 11 AM to 4 PM.

Hours to redeem a lost/stray animal are Mon - Sat 11 AM - 3 PM. Please see our website, www.cnyspca.org for instructions on redeeming a lost pet. Please do not just show up as there are certain NYS Criteria that must be met before an animal is able to be redeemed.

⭐️ Adoption Event – November 14 ⭐️

This adoption event is all about highlighting the wonderful long-term dogs in our care! The 15 dogs featured in this post have had their adoption fees waived as a reward for their patience while we search for their forever homes.

If you plan to attend this adoption event on November 14, applications must be received by November 6. This gives our staff time to review applications, call references, and be fully prepared for your visit!

Please note that some dogs are currently in foster homes and may not be present at the event. If you're interested in meeting one of these dogs, a scheduled visit will be arranged.

Boo Berry, at 6 years old and 60 pounds, is no shrinking violet. She’s been around long enough to have learned what she wants out of life, and she has no problem letting it be known.

Boo Berry loves a walk. In fact, she demands it, bulldozing her way to the door. She’s a bit headstrong and requires a confident handler. But make sure to let her sniff to her heart’s content; otherwise, she might sploot mid-walk. She can sometimes be bribed with a high-value treat to get moving.

Boo Berry also loves her toys, so much so that she doesn’t want to give them back—not unless you have a fair trade! Hey, after waiting over 365 days in the kennel, she doesn’t want to give up her small joys.

She also loves to take part in our holiday photo shoots, where she is happy to pose as long as there’s a squeaky toy on the other side of the camera.

Boo Berry has spent some nights decompressing in our staff’s office, and they were happy to report that she had no accidents and caused no problems. She just loved having a comfy, quiet place to relax.

So that’s what we’re searching for, Boo Berry: an adult household with a sense of humor to laugh when she’s being her stubborn self, and a patient, quiet home where she can spend forever.

Regarding our dogs who need to be the only pet in the household, people often assume this is a bad thing. Some may even automatically think the dog is aggressive. But in many cases, the dog simply doesn’t want to share their toys, their space, or their human with another animal.

So today, we’re here to remind you of the benefits of adopting a dog who needs to be the only pet in the household!

At five years old, humans have failed Enzo multiple times. Enzo ended up in our shelter in July 2025, where he spent a few months with us. He was then adopted into what we thought would be his forever home, but he was returned this past April when circumstances changed and his adopter could no longer care for him.

Enzo is seeking his forever home, and at five years old, this house hippo deserves just that. So, if your favorite type of dog is a “couch potato,” Enzo might just be your perfect companion.

While he enjoys the occasional zoomie and leisurely walk, he isn’t exactly high-energy. He’s more of a “go for a car ride, get a pup cup, and stay in the air conditioning” kind of dog.

Enzo is looking for an adult household where he can be the king of the castle, sharing his throne with no other animals. So, if you have room on your couch for this sweet bowling ball, apply today to adopt him.

We have little Litchfield, who is only 8 months old. No puppy belongs in a shelter!

Shanti is around a year old and seems like she’s been part of a family before.

Clarence is 2 years old and incredibly handsome. He even walks nicely on a leash!

Braleigh needs a home that’s okay with all her slobber, because a loyal friend comes with it!

Lola is a shy girl in the shelter who needs a slow, calm approach when meeting new friends.

And last but not least, Monty is around 4 years old and looking for his next chapter in life.
