Four dogs who were once waiting in their kennels are now getting spoiled by their families and starting the next chapter of their lives 🐶

🧠 Those ears aren't just cute—they're smart, too! 👂💚

Sophia is back in training class, and this 7-month-old Border Collie mix is crushing it! She loves anything that gives her a chance to use her brain, and watching her learn new skills with one of our volunteers has been so rewarding.

Sophia is a bright, energetic puppy who needs an active family ready to keep her body and her mind busy. Consistent training, patience, and structure will help her become the amazing companion we know she can be—and she is more than happy to put in the work for the reward of puppy kisses and snuggles. 🥰

She's also a social girl who enjoys playing with other dogs, although she can be pushy when first meeting them and will need time and guidance to build those relationships.

Sophia isn't a starter puppy. She's a smart young dog looking for someone who sees training as an adventure and enjoys watching a dog learn and grow. If that's you, Sophia might just be your girl!

Whiskey has her beer toy ready, and she’s got the perfect excuse to celebrate! 🍻❤️

Join us for Tips for Tails, a celebration of life honoring Cynthia A. Ryan and a fundraiser benefiting Helping Hounds Dog Rescue.

There will be live music, raffles & food—so come hungry, stay awhile, and raise a glass in Cynthia’s memory while helping dogs who are looking for their second chance. 🐶❤️

And speaking of second chances… Whiskey is looking for hers. This sweet girl absolutely loves her people. She can get along with other dogs, but she may prefer to be your one-and-only pup. She’s house trained, kennel-friendly, a great walking companion, and loves being outside. With medium energy and a wonderful ability to settle, Whiskey is the kind of girl who can go for a walk with you and then happily relax by your side.
She’s a real sweetheart—and we think she deserves to find her forever home.

So come have a drink, grab some food, enjoy the music, try your luck at the raffles, and raise a little “Whiskey” for the hounds! 🥃🐾

✅ FACT: Dogs of all ages can learn new skills!

Whether your dog is 6 months or 6 years old, training is about so much more than teaching commands. It’s an opportunity to build confidence, improve communication, and make everyday life together more enjoyable.

Our group classes focus on real-life skills like loose leash walking, recall, and creating a stronger partnership between you and your dog.

Because learning doesn’t have an age limit 🐾
