This week’s spotlight dog is Maly! She’s one of the smallest dogs on the team, with a whole lotta heart. She was adopted in January of 2021, and joined the team in 2022!

Some of the Lake Effect team members traveled down to PA for the CB/UD “Last Ride” tournament last weekend, and we have some serious brags! First off, we ran 4 teams (3 Multi and 1 Open) and didn’t die. Next, Vivian (an ACD owned by Brian and Lisa Phinney) earned her FGDCh 40k, Bond (a BC owned by Allison Blakley) earned his FGDCh 30k, Shimmer (a BC owned by Emily Reynolds) earned her FMX, Moose (a GSP owned by Jeri Fishack) earns his FDCh & MBDCh, Bruce (an Aussie owned by Becky O’Brien) earned his FDCH, and Dini (a mix owned by Marisa Fagliarone earned her MBD, MBDX & MBDCh!!!🎉 Our Black Ice team won Multi 1 division, and Mixed Precipitation ran 93% of their heats cleanly! And most importantly, everyone had a great time, we had lots of team bonding, and all of the dogs had a blast 🩵💜🩵

The spotlight dog this week is Peri! Peri is a 5 year old Australian Shepherd who is the happiest girl on Earth. Shes also been on the team for over 3 years!

This week’s dog is Huckleberry! Huck is a 3 year old Jack Russell who loves his treats. His mom says if he had a theme song it would be “I like big snacks and I cannot lie”
