Dear valued clients,
I wanted to create a post on here as well as send a letter out to any clients that I have provided any of my services to within the last two years. I wanted to update everyone on some changes that have already taken place and changes that are to come.
Renovation on my building is nearing its completion. I do not have a set date as of yet though. It’s taken a little bit longer than I anticipated because I had to pause for a little bit this year due to some personal things I had going on. The plan as it was before is once the building is finished being renovated, and I’ve started advertising for my services at home and have enough clientele to work strictly from home, then I will no longer be doing any mobile services. All of my mobile services will be done at that point by helpers/ employees, (excluding dog training). Please do not let that deter you from booking with me whether now or in the future.
As I said, I don’t have a set and date of when I will be stopping the mobile services. Once I know more and have a date, then I will send another letter out to everyone. There may be times that I will fill-in if I don’t have a heavy schedule and time permits or if I don’t have a helper/ employee available. My end goal is to be working from home in my office providing pet loss grief services, grief counseling, dog training, animal healing services and to continue the boarding. Dog training services will be done in my building next to my home also and no longer will I be traveling to clients for this service either once renovation is complete. Nothing changes on the boarding. The renovation does not have any effect on the boarding area.
I went back to school in November 2023 to pursue my masters degree where the plan is to become a licensed clinical mental health counselor. Once I’m done with my schooling, I’ll be providing that service as well from home in my building. I completed two courses and I’m now certified as a grief counselor and a pet loss grief support specialist through the American Institute of Healthcare Professionals – The Academy of Grief Counseling. I also completed a course as a certified animal healing practitioner.
Just to reiterate, I have a cancellation policy for all of my services. Less than 24 hour notice, you are still required to pay in full for the drop-in service. If it’s for boarding, it would be the amount for that particular day say if you’re coming home earlier than booked. Dog training clients are not responsible for paying the full amount because it is a much larger amount, but you are required to pay a $50 fee for canceling less than 24 hour notice.
Drop in visits when clients are away, (not drop ins while at work), for any single visits in a day, it will now be $30/visit. This applies to any clients that have three pets or less and are within 20 miles or less from me. If over 20 miles and/or over three pets then the rate increases in five dollar increments. This is only again, if it’s one visit in a day. If there are multiple visits in a day, you get the price break of $25 per visit. The $25 per visit for multiple visits applies to under 20 miles and three pets or less. That rate goes up in five dollar increments as well if you are over 20 miles and/or more than three pets.
Lastly, the pet transportation service rate has also increased. The lowest fee for that is now $30. The rate goes up depending on distance and number of pets. The lowest rate prior was $25, that has changed to $30 now.
