We wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates with you. Over the past few months, we’ve been making adjustments in the salon to better meet our goals and raise the standard of care for every pup who visits us. Our mission is simple: every dog deserves the best possible groom, with all the services needed for a complete and happy experience.

To achieve this, we’ve added several new treatments to our standard grooming package—at no extra cost. These include moisturizing masks, full de-shed treatments, whitening options, and even some fun touches like temporary color accents. If we feel your pet would benefit from a treatment, we’ll include it complimentary.

That means every groom here is a full-service groom—always complete, always caring, and never with surprise add-on charges.

These nail trims are designed to be quick and fast paced. We recommend these nail trims for pets that generally tolerate nail trimming. If your pet needs a little more one-on-one time with less dogs and distractions, message or call us at 715-496-4687 to set up an appointment. 🐾

Haaaaave you met Kylie!?! 👋 As many of you know by now, we have a receptionist! Kylie started with us in May and has adjusted quickly to the exciting, and sometimes crazy world of pet grooming!

A little bit about Kylie in her words:
“I have a dog, a cat and a bearded dragon, I love all kinds of animals. When I'm not at work I love trying new foods, crafting and reading! My favorite kind of dogs are probably sight hounds because they are both derpy and cryptids.”

Remember, you can schedule a nail trim appointment for just $15 in between grooms OR take advantage of our walk-in nail trim days that take place the 3rd Saturday of every month! Could Long Nails Be Affecting Your Dogs Behaviour?

Trimming your dog’s nails can feel like a bit of a chore, and it's easy to put off or forget about them. But keeping nails short is more than just cosmetic, it's crucial for your dog's comfort and health.

Imagine when your toenails get too long and they press against the end of your shoes. It gets painful doesn’t it? Now, think about your dog. When their nails are too long, they press into the ground with each step, potentially causing discomfort and pain, especially on hard surfaces.

But here’s where it can get even more complex. If your dog tends to pull on the lead when they see another dog, and that pulling causes pain in their paws or limbs due to their overgrown nails, they may start to make a negative association if that pain happens when another dog appears.

Over time, your dog might begin to anticipate pain when seeing another dog and respond with barking, lunging, or avoidance behaviours in an attempt to prevent discomfort. That’s how something as simple as long nails can contribute to behaviour. Over time, long nails can also cause your dog to walk differently, potentially leading to more serious issues.

So, take a moment today to check your dog’s nails. If they’re touching the ground when your dog is standing still, it’s likely time for a trim. Just be cautious not to cut into the quick, as this can be painful and cause bleeding. If you're unsure or nervous about trimming them yourself, a vet or professional groomer can help keep them comfortable and well-maintained.
