With the heat I decided for something quick and easy for supper but to also use up more of the wine caps that keep popping up. I sautéed the mushrooms and added canned venison for a quick meat and gravy over noodles. Loving all the different ways the wine caps can be used and the flavor they add is amazing.

They just won't stop! I've harvested over 20 pounds from this bed already and more are popping up again. Almost time for a fresh layer of mulch and to remove the sides to let them expand out.

Got the last of the cleaning done in the pool today! Water is almost 74 already. Definitely going to be enjoying the pool after working in the garden and the yard this week.

Got all the hostas I dug up yesterday back into the ground. I still have a bunch to move and need to w**d this area in the worst way. But with the heat today and rain tonight, my only priority was getting the hostas back into the ground.

I found the pond! After three years the hostas got a bit to much to be around the pond. Tomorrow the hostas will be planted around the permanent vintage camper which has been named the Classy Dames Homestead Hotel. After that, I made grilled BBQ chicken for supper with fresh salad from the garden and a homemade rhubarb vinaigrette dressing. Supper was yummy and much needed after fighting with hostas all day.

Made chicken stir fry last night with the garlic scapes and wine caps. It was so good!

Two apple trees didn't fair so well this spring but the one that did is loaded. Have a few peaches on one of the trees I planted last year. Flowers are blooming in all my beds. Found a few patches of slime mold where there was a stump use to be, it's such a weird stuff.

I just can't with this girl! She's such a little s**t. The green tray was put in her cage to use as a litter box. Instead she decided to use it as her bed. Tonight she was pitching a fit for some reason and was trying to flip it.

Weeded more of the garden today. It's my least favorite part of having a garden. But giving the w**ds to my chickens makes it all worth it. I love how they come running when they see the bucket.

I love all the native columbine that I have here. This year I had a surprise with three different colors showing up. I know they aren't native and I will continue to care for the native ones so they thrive but I'll enjoy these as well.

The garden is loving the cooler wet weather lately, especially the w**ds. Got more of the garden w**ded today even though it was a bit muddy. Harvested more wine caps which are really loving this weather. It's my largest daily harvest this year including this monster. 4 more pints are in the canner and will be added to my canning closet. Even got a few garlic scapes. Sadly, I lost over half my garlic because of the lack of snow cover this winter but at least some of it is doing well. A good share of what is growing will go right back in this fall for next year.
