Balto is a very handsome 3-year-old Husky mix. He has the most beautiful eyes and smile!

Are you looking for a hiking buddy? Well here he is, and he's already named Buddy! 🌄

Buddy is a 10-month-old cream Lab puppy! He's growing into a very handsome boy 💞

Buddy had a blast exploring Castlewood State Park Missouri for ! He loved to take in the new sights, sounds, and smells, plus digging in the sand is pretty fun!

This sweet boy has been waiting at the shelter for a forever family since June, and we just can't believe he's still here. 🥺

We've been granted custody! 💕

We are so excited to announce that yesterday HSMO was granted full legal custody of the dogs from the Christian County rescue that had been under a warrant!

While the property owner had agreed to surrender the majority of the animals in this group at the end of July, there were several dozen in the house that were recovered via a warrant from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

We are grateful these pups can now begin receiving their spay/neuter surgeries and be made available for adoption when they’re ready.

Thank you for helping these sweet souls on their road to recovery! 🩷

Sufferin succotash! Those whiskers are amazing! 🐈‍⬛

This is Sylvester, he's the perfect cat for a Looney Tunes lover! 🖤

Sylvester is a one and a half year old black and white medium haired cat. He came to us as a stray in early August.

He's now ready for a forever home of his own, and since today is we can't think of a better day for him to go home!

We're on a dessert name kick! This is Turkey Hill 🍨

Turkey Hill is a 2-year-old Shiba Inu and Pomeranian mix! He came to us as a stray at the end of June.

Turkey Hill is everyone's cheerleader! He loves to announce his presence with some quick barks when he heads out of his kennel!

He is a very sweet boy who's favorite thing is to be with the people he loves, which is everyone!

This is Cupcake! She's an 11-years-young Corgi mix and she has the ears to prove it!

Cupcake got to visit Rene Knott on KSDK News this morning and she showed off what a perfect girl she is.

She is looking for a forever home where she can live out her golden years, preferably one with a lap where she can curl up 💕

What's better than adopting one dog? Adopting two!!! 🎉

Meet Stormfly and Lugnut!

These two came to the shelter as a pair back in May.

🐉 Stormfly is a 5-year-old black and white Lab mix, and she is an absolute sweetheart! She's convinced that she is a lapdog and wants nothing more than to snuggle with you 💕

🤖 Lugnut is a 3-year-old tan and white Lab mix with a big wrinkly head that's perfect for squishing! He loves to play in the pen with his sister and he's just as affectionate!

This dynamic duo is beyond ready to get out of the shelter, but we know that finding a home together for two big dogs can be a challenge...
