Saving Animals Since 2006
Judy’s Forgotten Jewells became a licensed Non-Profit Animal Rescue Group in the summer of 2009! We are based out of Jewell Animal Hospital, and founded by Patricia L. Smith, DVM. The name Judy’s Forgotten Jewells is in honor of Dr. Smith’s mother’s childhood dog “Judy Dog” and Jewell Animal Hospital. Since starting rescue work in 2006 Judy’s Forgotten Jewells has placed over 200 Dogs, Cats, Puppies, & Kittens in forever loving homes every year! Most of our animals come from shelters where they were at risk of being euthanized. We are run solely on volunteers and clinic staff. Our adoption fee helps cover a fraction of the cost to spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip implantation & activation, medical treatment, and any food used to feed the animal! We are a NO KILL rescue, so once an animal is adopted that opens up a space for us to bring in a new at risk animal! We are very passionate about our rescues and strongly encourage all pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to help end the cycle of pet overpopulation!
