We rescue animals in danger of euthanasia and place them into forever loving homes. We are based out of Jewell Animal Hospital, and founded by Patricia L.

Judy’s Forgotten Jewells became a licensed Non-Profit Animal Rescue Group in the summer of 2009! Smith, DVM. The name Judy’s Forgotten Jewells is in honor of Dr. Smith’s mother’s childhood dog “Judy Dog” and Jewell Animal Hospital. Since starting rescue work in 2006 Judy’s Forgotten Jewells has placed over 500 Dogs, Cats, Puppies, & Kittens in forever loving homes! Most of our animals come from shelters where they were at risk of being euthanized! We are run solely on volunteers and clinic staff! Our adoption fee helps cover a fraction of the cost to spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip implantation & activation, medical treatment, and any food used to feed the animal! We are a NO KILL rescue, so once an animal is adopted that opens up a space for us to bring in a new at risk animal! We are very passionate about our rescues and strongly encourage all pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to help end the cycle of pet overpopulation!

🏙️🐾 FROM SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI TO THE WINDY CITY… TOBY IS HEADED TO CHICAGO! ❤️🎉

Our sweet Toby is about to live his BEST LIFE in CHICAGO! 🌆🐶

This boy from South Central, Missouri, is trading his small-town roots for big-city adventures, and we couldn't be happier for him!

Toby truly is the PERFECT doodle. ❤️ He has the sweetest soul, the biggest heart, and all he has ever wanted is someone to LOVE. He doesn't ask for much—just affection, companionship, and a family to call his own.

And now, he's going to have ALL of that and SO MUCH MORE! 🥹💕

Knowing that Toby is about to be surrounded by all the love he could possibly imagine makes our hearts so happy.

From Missouri to Chicago, Toby, your greatest adventure is just beginning! 🐾🏙️

🐻❤️ TEDDY FOUND HIS FOREVER FAMILY!!! ❤️🐻

Sometimes, the best things in life are worth waiting for… and for our sweet Teddy, that wait is FINALLY OVER! 🥹🏡💕

Our adorable little Maltipoo boy has been passed over a couple of times. Families came to meet him, but for one reason or another, Teddy wasn't the one they chose.

And while we couldn't understand how anyone could pass up this sweet little face, we knew that somewhere out there, Teddy's perfect family was waiting for him! ❤️

Well… THEY FOUND HIM!!! 🎉🐾

Teddy's happy-go-lucky personality, playful spirit, and endless charm finally won over the hearts of a wonderful family who saw exactly what we've seen in him all along!

A happy, silly little puppy with SO much love to give! 🥰

And just look at those smiles!!! 📸💕 We think it's safe to say Teddy has already worked his magic!

We always say that sometimes an adoption doesn't work out because the RIGHT family hasn't come along yet. And Teddy is the perfect reminder of why we never give up hope.

He wasn't unwanted. He was just waiting for HIS people. 🥹❤️

To Teddy's new family, THANK YOU for choosing him, for seeing the wonderful little boy he is, and for giving him the chance to grow, learn, and experience all the love that comes with having a family of his very own.

☀️🐾 SUN'S OUT, BELLY'S UP… AND BUD IS READY FOR ADOPTION!🐾☀️

Some dogs enjoy a nice walk in the sunshine. Others prefer lounging in the grass.

And then there's BUD… 😂❤️

Apparently, Bud has decided that the BEST way to soak up some sunshine is to flop onto his back, throw all four paws in the air, and let that belly BAKE! ☀️🤣

Honestly, we can't blame him!

Our sweet, goofy Bud has been through quite a journey. After testing positive for heartworms, he underwent his series of heartworm treatment injections, and now that he's finished those treatments, HE'S OFFICIALLY LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!🏡❤️

And after everything he's been through, we'd say he's earned a little relaxation in the sunshine!

🐶 Bud is one of those dogs who will keep you laughing. There is NEVER a dull moment with this boy! Whether he's being silly, showing off his personality, or turning an outdoor dog bed into his own personal tanning lounge, he knows how to make us smile.

But as much as Bud enjoys his sunshine here at the rescue, we'd love nothing more than to see him enjoying it inHIS VERY OWN BACKYARD. 🥹💕

A family to love him. A comfy bed to call his own. And someone who appreciates his wonderfully goofy personality!

🧸💔 TEDDY GOT ADOPTED… BUT GRAHAM IS STILL WAITING! 💔🧸

We are SO excited that Teddy finally found his forever family! 🎉❤️ But now we're hoping his brother Graham gets the same happy ending!

Graham is nearly 6 MONTHS OLD and has been passed over several times because he's not fully potty trained, gets excited, and can be a little rambunctious.

But here's the thing… HE'S A PUPPY! 🐾

What breaks our hearts is that GRAHAM HAS NEVER LIVED IN A HOME. 💔

He's never had someone consistently teach him where to potty, how to settle down, or what living with a family is like.

How can we expect him to know things he's never been taught? 🥺

Graham is a sweet, happy, playful little boy who just needs someone willing to give him patience, consistency, and LOVE.

❤️ Puppies aren't supposed to come perfectly trained. They're supposed to grow and learn WITH YOU!

Teddy finally got his chance. Now Graham deserves his! 🏡💕

🐾💕 MIFFY IS NOW DOLLY… AND SHE'S LIVING HER BEST LIFE! 💕🐾

Remember our sweet little Miffy? Well, she has a new name, Dolly, a wonderful forever family, and apparently some pretty amazing feline siblings! 🐶🐱❤️

We received the sweetest update from her family, and we just had to share!

💌 Her family writes:

"Everything is going amazingly well. Both cats have embraced Dolly, and have been very patient while she learns the ropes. She is proving to be a perfect fit for the family."

🥹❤️ THIS is what rescue is all about!

Just look at Dolly, all snuggled up on the couch, completely relaxed and right at home! And seeing her sharing the couch with one of her kitty siblings makes our hearts so happy!

We absolutely love hearing that her new feline family members have welcomed her with open paws. 🐾 Sometimes the best friendships come with a few whiskers!

Thank you to Dolly's wonderful family for giving her such a loving home, being patient while she settles in, and sharing these precious photos with us.

🐾🤫 WE'VE BEEN KEEPING A LITTLE SECRET… MEET HUCK & FINN!🤫🐾

Okay, okay… we can't keep these two adorable faces hidden any longer! 😍

Introducing Huck & Finn, two ridiculously cute little brothers who have been stealing our hearts behind the scenes at Judy's Forgotten Jewells! ❤️

These tiny troublemakers are only 5 weeks old, which means they have 3 more weeks of growing, playing, and causing kitten chaos before they're ready to head to their forever homes at 8 weeks old! 🏡🐱

✨ BUT HERE'S THE EXCITING PART! ✨

Starting NEXT MONDAY, when Huck & Finn turn 6 weeks old and begin their vaccinations, we will start allowing approved applicants to come meet them!

Please submit an adoption application through our website! Once your application has been reviewed, we can schedule a time for you to meet these sweet boys, with the possibility of bringing one (or both!) home once they turn 8 weeks old.

💕 Do they have to be adopted together? Nope! Huck and Finn can absolutely go to separate loving homes.

BUT… we have to admit, watching these two wrestle, tumble, pounce, and attack each other's tiny tails is some of the BEST entertainment around! 😂 They're basically a miniature WWE tag team!

Our sweet girl ROBIN has officially found her FOREVER HOME! 🐱💕

Just look at those happy smiles! 😍 We absolutely LOVE seeing our rescue babies head off to their new lives with families who are just as excited to welcome them home as we are to see them adopted!

While Robin is off beginning her happily ever after, she still has two very special family members waiting for their turn! 🥹❤️
