Meet January & February! 🐾

These 7-month-old siblings are sweet, gentle, and a little shy. They do so well together and would love to find a home where they can stay together!

January is a quiet observer who loves cozy hideaways, Churu treats, gentle scratches, and showing off her big purr once she feels safe.

February is a curious boy who takes a little time to warm up, but becomes an affectionate purr machine once he trusts you. He loves wand toys, cozy beds, Churu treats, and soft pets.

Both do best with calm environments, gentle introductions, and people who respect their boundaries. The more time they have at Smittens, the more comfortable and confident they get. They’re looking for a patient home where they can build confidence together and let their sweet personalities shine! ❤️

🎉 26 CATS FOUND HOMES! 🏡❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who adopted, shared our posts, and helped spread the word during PetSmart National Adoption Week! Because of you, 26 cats found their forever homes. Happy tails to you! 🐾💕

But while we’re celebrating those happy endings, so many deserving cats and kittens are still waiting. Some didn’t get adopted and didn’t even receive a single inquiry. 💔

Here are just a few of the faces still waiting for someone to notice them, fall in love, and give them the chance they’ve been waiting for.

And there are so many more! 🐈‍⬛

Meet Stormy! 💙

Stormy came all the way from Tijuana with her siblings, who have all since been adopted. 🥺 Now she’s the only one left, and a Smittens volunteer shared that she was crying in her suite when her last sibling went home without her. 💔 This chatty, purry, cuddly little baby is ready for her own happy ending. Could you be the one to bring her home? 💕

🐾 Meet Jules & Grisou! 🐾

📍 PetSmart Mission Valley | 5 months old

These resilient sisters have been through so much in their short lives, but they’re finally healthy, happy, and ready for their forever home! ❤️

Rescued from a hoarding situation in July alongside their baby brother, Jules(pink collar) and Grisou (blue collar) were extremely sick and malnourished. With lots of love, medical care, and patience from Smittens, these girls fought their way back to health. Sadly, their little brother didn’t make it, but these sisters never gave up. 💕

They may be a little shy at first, but once they warm up, their personalities shine! Expect plenty of affection, playful antics, wrestling matches, and kitten zoomies. They adore each other and would love to find a home together!

October 19–25 is PetSmart National Adoption Week, and we’re celebrating with a HUGE adoption event at all our Smittens PetSmart locations this weekend! 🐱❤️

🐾 Meet Alicia! 🐾

Alicia is a sweet, affectionate 2-year-old torbie who loves head and chin rubs, being held, and connecting with her people. 💕 She has hyperesthesia, which causes sensitivity along her back, so she needs someone who understands her boundaries and appreciates her unique personality. With a little understanding, Alicia has so much love to give!

Meet Moira! 🖤🤍

Moira is a 4-year-old tuxedo girl who has been with Smittens for 110 days and is ready for a home of her own! She’s shy at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes an affectionate, silly, and deeply loyal companion.

💕 Moira loves chin scratches, morning cuddles, head butts, kisses, and carrying felt balls around with her signature squeaks. She’ll even leave toys by your bed as little gifts! She’s looking for a calm, predictable home where she can settle in at her own pace and become your devoted best friend.

Moira had stomatitis and most of her teeth removed, but she’s in remission, takes no ongoing medication, and eats dry food normally. She just needs regular vet checkups to keep her mouth healthy.

🧡 Meet Abuelo Antonio! He’s 10 years old and full of life, love, and personality!

Abuelo is happy, energetic, food-motivated, and VERY talkative. He loves playtime, lounging near his people, and being part of the action.🐾

❤️ Why adopt a senior? Their personalities are established, they’re past the kitten chaos, and they still have so much love to give. Give a senior a cozy home and the chance to spend their golden years feeling safe and loved!

Abuelo unfortunately was adopted but returned a few days later due to an unexpected life change for his adopter. It wasn’t anyone’s fault! We’re grateful they followed our policy to return cats to Smittens so we can keep them safe. Now he’s looking for his forever home.

He gets along with other cats, enjoys playtime, and is gentle about communicating when he needs a break.

🧡 Abuelo is FIV+. With indoor-only living, routine vet care, and non-aggressive feline companions, FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives.

Meet Bella 💗

Bella is 2 years old and has been waiting for her forever home for 165 days. She’s become one of our longest residents, and we would love nothing more than to see her finally get the happy ending she deserves. 🥹

Part of the reason Bella has been waiting so long is that she’s shy. When she first arrived at the adoption center, she mostly stayed in her cage, unsure of her new surroundings. But with time, patience, and the trust she’s built with our volunteers, we’ve watched her blossom.

Now, Bella is starting to venture out, seek affection, and show off the incredibly sweet, loving girl underneath that shyness. She just needs someone willing to give her the time and space to feel safe. ❤️

Bella is looking for a patient adopter who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace. She may need a little extra time to settle in, but we promise the Bella on the other side of that shyness is SO worth it.
