We’ve officially had our 7 reindeer puppies for almost three weeks, which means they’re nearly one month old. To say it’s been a rollercoaster would be an understatement, but we are endlessly grateful that all seven are still earth-side with us.
These past few weeks, each one has taken their turn really struggling to survive. But through every setback, their strength and will to live have shone through.
We’ve finally begun weaning, and the babies are absolutely loving their wet food… and we are loving the extra hour or two of sleep! 😅 IYKYK.
Unfortunately, Rudolph and Dancer are currently dealing with a skin infection, so they’re separated until we know exactly what we’re working with. They’ve started antibiotics and we’re waiting on culture results to make sure they’re getting the right treatment.
The rest of the crew — Dasher, Blitzen, Vixen, Prancer, and Cupid — are doing well overall, though they’ve been battling some pretty intense tummy troubles.
Despite everything, all seven are eating well, active, happy, and finally showing off their adorable little personalities. We cannot wait for our sweet reindeer to be healthy and reunited again. Until then, they’re getting all the TLC they need to keep thriving.
