💔 Sweet Gracie is still waiting for the forever home she’s been dreaming of. 💔

Gracie was so lucky to have amazing fosters who loved her deeply. They had hoped to make her part of their family forever, but due to military orders and an unexpected move, they weren’t able to adopt her because of their new location. Saying goodbye was incredibly hard , they even got her a special farewell cake before bringing her back to our rescue. 🥹

While Gracie absolutely loves our rescue crew, we can see how much she misses having a family of her own. She has always loved being someone’s one and only, soaking up all the attention, cuddles, and love. ❤️

If you don’t know Gracie’s story… she came to us from a Northern California shelter carrying a lot of fear after experiencing a dog bite. With patience, love, and training, she has worked through those fears and has made incredible progress. She is now calm and indifferent around other dogs but we would love for her to be the only dog in her home so she can finally have all the love and attention she deserves. 🐾

Gracie is wonderful with people, including kids, and may do well with cats. She is ready to be someone’s best friend and we know her perfect family is out there.

Gracie was originally adopted but although her adopters work had guaranteed she was not going to be sent to work away they unfortunately said they were relocating her and she couldn’t take Gracie.

Gracie is available for adoption and eagerly waiting for her forever home preferably as the only pet in the home. She’s great with people and children. She has had extensive training and loves her crate.

This week like most weeks we got an email asking for help. We may not post all the assessments we do because we are a very small team focused on helping dogs stay in their homes and unfortunately we can’t keep up with social media as much as we would like.

We went to see a young 2 year old male malinois that was rehomed to a wonderful home who has had him for about 6 months. They said they had not had any issues the first 3 months and that’s when they began. The behavior has been escalating where he is now nipping them.

During the assessment he attempted to nip our trainer twice. We saw reactivity towards shadows, reflections, and anxiety with tools. This verified what the current owner told us she thought about his past. He can definitely work through this with structure at home and helping him build confidence to reduce his anxiety with training . We offered to provide training through our rescue with our “No Dog Left Behind “ Program through .dogrehab

Gracie is a beautiful 3-year-old, 60lb sweetheart who’s ready to find her forever-ever home this time. 🏡

She absolutely adores people — gentle, loving, and wonderful with kids. Gracie has an incredible sense of smell and can sniff out any toy you hide (seriously, she’s a hide-and-seek champ 🎾👃). She’s the perfect mix of chill and playful — just as happy to lounge by your side as she is to join you for a nice walk.

Gracie thought she had found her forever home once before, but something unexpected happened with her adopter and she had to come back to our rescue. 💔 Despite that setback, Gracie’s loving spirit hasn’t changed — she’s still full of affection and ready to give her heart again.

She’s been through a lot, including being bitten by another dog in a previous foster home, which made her cautious for a while. With training and patience, she’s blossomed beautifully and is no longer reactive. However, she’d still do best as the only dog in the home so she can have all the love and attention she truly deserves. 🐶✨

She hasn’t been around cats, but she’s more than ready to be someone’s loyal companion and cuddle buddy for life.
