We rescue stray dogs from the streets, and from situations of abuse and neglect. Additionally, we rescue many of our dogs from “death row” at kill shelters in CA. All rescued animals are examined by a veterinarian,

Rest in peace, beautiful boy.
It was my honor to save you in 2012.

I will never forget walking into that apartment complex in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in San Bernardino and finding you tied to a massive chain with a heavy padlock.

I asked them to give me you and Nikki, and they handed you both over without a second thought.

I brought you home and fostered you for many months until I found you each the perfect forever homes.

It brings me so much comfort to know that you lived a beautiful, happy life for the last 13 years.

You will always be remembered. 🤍

Sweet Star is doing much better. The good news is that Star might recover without needing to go through surgery. Here are the notes from the orthopedic surgeon:

“There is an ileum and p***s fracture. But it seems stable enough. I recommend cage rest, no movement at all. I can do xrays on Monday (in a week). If there is displacement or movement, we need to operate to avoid hip collapse. But if it is stable, no surgery necessary, just reassess every week for a month.”

Please keep Star in your prayers. He is a sweetheart and deserves the best.

Sweet little Star needs some prayers.
He was beaten up by a homeless person until he appeared lifeless.

A good Samaritan ran to him, picked him up, and took him to Carson Animal Shelter. At the same time, we had a volunteer at the shelter to pick up a dog we had adopted out 13 years ago and who had been turned into the shelter. Of course, we went to pick her up right away.

Star is in critical condition. His hips have multiple fractures, he is anemic, and he is emaciated. His body is in shock from the beating he endured.

Thank you Tina, Eldad, and Veronica for stepping up for little Star. I was heartbroken to learn that Eva was turned in to the shelter after more than 13 years, and then Star came in and made me even more heartbroken.

I believe that God has a reason for us to be at Carson yesterday so we can save Star.
