Our mission is to provide professional, compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care. Proudly serving San Antonio pet families. 🐶🐱

Dr. Tracy Tommack the founder and owner of Traveling Tails Veterinary Clinic had a vision over a decade ago that included sharing her commitment and love of veterinary medicine by offering not only excellent pet care in clinic; but took it one step further by adding a mobile house call service for San Antonio residents. Traveling Tails is conveniently located at 2250 Thousand Oaks, suite 102, in North Central San Antonio with close access to Highway 281 and Highway 1604. Our Doctors strive to provide professional, compassionate, and above all ethically sound care to all of her clients and their furry family members. Traveling Tails is passionate about caring for your pet and will always treat them as if they were our own. We are a cat friendly practice and love to see our kitty patients as much as our dogs. Stop by and meet our friendly staff, we would love to make you a part of our caring veterinary practice.

While you're getting ready for a night of spooky fun, don't forget to think about your pets.

Happy National Cat Day! Every cat has their own personality, from skittish cuddle bugs to self-anointed royalty that run the house from their cardboard box, but always precious in their own way. That’s part of their charm, isn’t it?

Just for fun, visit purrjung.org to take their purrrsonality quiz inspired by actual feline personality research! And of course, if you ever have questions about your cat’s health or behavior, give us a call - we’re always happy to help.

October is National Pet Wellness Month and a great reminder to check in on your pet's overall health. Pay special attention to nutrition, exercise, year-round protection, and mental stimulation, as they all play an important role in your pet's well-being.

Even if your pet seems fine, everyday activities can expose them to parasites and disease. Year-round protection helps reduce those risks and can prevent more serious health problems down the road. If you'd like personalized guidance for your pet's unique needs, you're always welcome to schedule a wellness visit at our clinic.

A little celebration for the people who help keep our patients happy, healthy, and cared for! 🧡🐾

For Technician Appreciation Week, we took some time to celebrate our amazing veterinary technicians and recognize the dedication, compassion, and hard work they bring to the clinic every day.

From comforting nervous pets to supporting our veterinarians and caring for every patient like their own, our technicians make a difference in more ways than one. We’re so grateful to have them on our team! 🩺🐶🐱

Help us show our vet techs some love in the comments! Drop a 🧡 to celebrate the incredible people behind the care.

🎃🐾 We know… the costume is ADORABLE.

But before you grab that tiny superhero cape or spooky little outfit, make sure your pet is actually comfortable wearing it.

A good costume should let them move, breathe, see, hear, and behave normally. And if your pet clearly isn't having it? Skip the costume! Their comfort matters more than the photo. 🧡

Sometimes a festive bandana, bowtie, or simple accessory is all they need to join the Halloween fun.

Be honest: Does your pet LOVE dressing up, or is it an immediate NOPE? 😂👇

When you visit your veterinarian, chances are a veterinary technician is there every step of the way. They wear many hats, helping with patient care, treatments, education, and comfort for both pets and their families. This National Veterinary Technician Week, we're shining a spotlight on the skilled, compassionate professionals who make a difference every day.

Join us in celebrating National Veterinary Technician Week by learning more about the incredible people behind so much of your pet's care, and don't forget to thank your vet tech for all they do. ❤️ 🐾

It can be confusing to select an over-the-counter product that’s safe for pets. Ask us at Traveling Tails Veterinary Clinic for pet-specific solutions to your dog or cat’s needs.

🎃 Halloween should be fun for everyone—including the pets who would strongly prefer that nobody ring the doorbell 47 times. 😂

Between costumes, strangers, open doors, candy, and unfamiliar noises, Halloween can create plenty of opportunities for pets to become stressed or get into something they shouldn't.

A little preparation can go a long way toward keeping them safe and comfortable.

📌 Save this carousel for Halloween night and send it to a pet parent who needs the reminder!
