NOTICE TO CLIENTS: INCREASE IN RABIES CASES IN SURROUNDING AREAS

Dear Clients,

We would like to inform you that multiple cases of rabies have recently been confirmed in both domestic and wild animals across several surrounding counties. This increase poses a serious health risk to both pets and humans.

Rabies is a fatal viral disease that affects the nervous system and is transmitted primarily through the bite of an infected animal. Wild animals such as raccoons, foxes, skunks, and bats are common carriers, but domestic animals can also become infected if they are not properly vaccinated.

We urge all pet owners to take the following precautions:

Ensure your pet’s rabies vaccination is up to date. This is not only critical for their protection but is also required by law.

Avoid contact with wild animals. Do not allow your pets to roam unsupervised, especially near wooded or rural areas.

Report any suspicious animal behavior. If you see a wild or stray animal acting unusually tame, aggressive, or disoriented, contact your local animal control agency immediately.

Seek immediate medical attention if you or your pet are bitten by an animal.

If you're unsure about your pet’s vaccination status or need to schedule a booster, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Your vigilance can help prevent the spread of this deadly disease and protect your family and pets.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Town & Country Veterinary Hospital

Due to the events of the F3 tornado that hit the Valley View & Sanger, TX area, the Animal Hospital on Milam Road's wonderful staff has gone out into the community & rescued many fur babies and brought them back into the clinic for shelter and care.

There are many pups that they have under their care as well as that have needed treatment. One of their lovely guests is named Willow & was found on the side of the road by a wonderful human & she has a broken leg & pelvis that needs an important extensive surgery! Funds will go towards Willow's surgery, vaccinations, medications, & other treated injuries! They also have some pups that have found their owners but will be staying at the clinic at no cost due to their homes being destroyed or them being hospitalized themselves that funds will go towards.

We would love your help in raising money! These sweet babies have been through so much trauma already & we appreciate absolutely everything that this community has already done to help them! If you feel led to donate to the cause, please use this link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/aid-for-tornadoaffected-dogs-in-sanger
