Did you know that parasites like heartworms, fleas, ticks, and intestinal worms can pose serious health risks to your pets year-round? Many of these parasites are easy to prevent, but once an infection occurs, treatment can be costly, time-consuming, and sometimes life-threatening.

❤️ Heartworm disease is spread through mosquito bites and can cause severe damage to the heart and lungs.
🕷️ Ticks can transmit diseases that affect both pets and people.
🐜 Fleas can cause itching, skin infections, allergies, and even tapeworm infections.
🦠 Intestinal parasites can impact your pet’s health and may be spread to humans in some cases.

The good news? Prevention is simple.

At Encino Park Veterinary Clinic, we recommend keeping your pets on year-round heartworm, flea, and tick prevention to help protect them from these common parasites.

Not sure if your pet is due for prevention or testing? Give us a call! Our team is happy to help you find the best parasite protection plan for your furry family members.

📞 Contact us today to keep your pets happy, healthy, and parasite-free all year long!
