AS YOU PREPARE FOR BED TONIGHT NEVER FORGET:
On this day... 20 years ago:
๐บ๐ธ 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights.
๐บ๐ธ 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning.
๐บ๐ธ 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift.
๐บ๐ธ 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol.
๐บ๐ธ 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives.
๐ None of them took a breath past 10:00 a.m. on September 11, 2001.
And it doesn't matter if you weren't there, to little to remember or not even born yet, this day, this piece of history, changed the world forever. It changed YOUR world forever.
๐บ๐ธ WE WILL NEVER FORGET ๐บ๐ธ

Weather is perfect today and we are here and open till 2pm today (Saturday), then will resume to regular office hours on Monday. Thank you for your patience.
Due to the winter storm, for the safety of our customers and employees our hours will likely be fluctuating over the next couple of days. We are monitoring the weather closely and suggest everyone to give us a call before heading out. As of now we will be closed tomorrow (Monday February 15th).
We hope everyone stays safe out there. If you have any questions please feel free to Facebook message us. Thank you.
The temperatures are going to drop this weekend. It is illegal to have a dog chained up outside in the cold or without any shelter. If you see this happening please call your local authority. If it is after hours and Animal Control is closed then reach out to the Police or Sheriff's Dept. or Constables Office. If nothing is done, take a picture and contact us. We will be posting dogs in danger. Thank you and stay warm.

Dear Valued Clients,
There's no doubt that the coronavirus (COVID-19) is creating challenges for all of us, both personally and professionally. First and foremost, we hope that you, your family and your pet(s) are remaining safe and healthy. We are writing to keep you informed of our recommendations as well as the steps we are taking to continue offering the care your pets need while providing you and our associates a safe environment.
We always keep our hospital clean and disinfected, and we have increased both the frequency and scope of these cleanings in accordance with CDC recommendations to help ensure both our clients and associates are kept safe. Similarly, hand washing hygiene is critically important in a hospital, a step we continue to emphasize to staff and clients. As always, we provide options for hand cleaning for clients and associates, and we are working closely with our team to ensure that anyone who is not feeling well understands that we support them staying home.
Q- What do I do if I have been exposed to the coronavirus while my pet needs care?
A- In order to help us continue to serve pets in need, we ask that clients who have recently traveled to a high-risk country, had any exposure to symptomatic or confirmed positive cases, or confirmed positive themselves NOT bring their pets in the hospital.
โข If your pet is due for routine care (annual exams, vaccines, dental cleanings, nail trims, or any other non-urgent appointments), please call us to discuss rescheduling to a later time. If it is determined that your appointment cannot be rescheduled for medical reasons, and your appointment is necessary, we ask that you have a healthy family member or friend bring your pet to the visit.
Q- What if- I have not been exposed and my pet is scheduled for a visit or is sick?
A- If your pet is sick or scheduled for routine care, we are open and fully operational. We recommend you follow these simple steps:
โขWhile in the waiting area, maintain distance between you and other clients and pets.
โขAfter checking in at reception, you are welcome to wait in your car. We can text or call you when we are ready to see your pet.
โขLimit the number of people who accompany each pet to the hospital.
โขIf you need to pick up food or medications for your pet, please call and we can help you set up home delivery through our Online pharmacy if you would prefer.
โขUse hand sanitizer and/or the client restroom to wash hands.
โขHome Delivery: Pet food and medications may be ordered through our online pharmacy. You can access it by going to pleasantonroadanimalhospital.com, chose the online pharmacy tab and register if you do not have an account.
โขWe know many of our clients consider their pets members of the family and, as such, are concerned about the health of ALL family members.
Please rest assured that Pleasanton Road Animal Hospital is monitoring the situation closely and that we will continue to consult and seek input from internal and external experts to provide the best guidance and advice for you, our valued clients. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions or concerns.

Sorry about that last post if anyone saw it. I deleted it as soon as I noticed that it wasnโt my personal page I posted it to.
Doc handing out the Christmas cookies to our mini donkeys and horses.
Itโs Santaโs #1 Rabbit Reindeer! Watch out Rudolph- Alfie wants to guide Santaโs sleigh tonight!
Iโve got a feeling the clinic is not very busy today- donโt worry Alfie, the girls really do love you.
Reminder: we will be closed tomorrow Friday the 6th so that doc and I can take the staff to Port A for their employee appreciation weekend.
We are closed today for Labor Day and we will also be closed this Friday September the 6th for our 2nd annual employee appreciation day- doc and I will be taking the entire staff to Port Aransas for 3 days of fun, sun, food and lots of team building fun. We know yโall understand that we want to say thanks to all of them for being the best Veterinary team in San Antonio at taking care of your babies every day.
Say Hello to Paco and Esther! Esther is the bright smiling face you see when you come in and Paco is the clinics newest employee (heโs our client entertainment specialist)!
Happy International CAT Day!
Hey yโall - I have to apologize- Iโm not very good at posting regularly or keeping up with all your check-inโs, likes and posts yโall do, but for some unknown reason I had a few extra minutes to scroll through today and - can I just say WOW! Yโall have posted some really great pics of your furbabies over the years (and my clinic doesnโt look to bad in them either, you can see some of the changes Iโve been doing recently). I wanted to go back and like every single one of them but I thought itโd be kinda weird to like a post from last year or something!
Just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work!
