One of the most common concerns we hear about dental procedures is that general anesthesia is required. This is an 11yr old dog having a dental procedure who needed 7 extractions due to chronic periodontal disease resulting in pain.

We have a trained technician to monitor anesthesia while cleaning, polishing, X-rays, and any other treatments necessary are completed. Patients are intubated with multi-modal anesthesia tailored to their age, breed, and any health issues they have. Our monitors include ECG, blood pressure, respiratory rate, & capnography. Patients receive temperature support and IV fluids as well an anti-nausea medication prior to their procedure.

We do everything possible to ensure their safety and comfort before, during, & after their procedure. If you have any questions please let us know! We are passionate about pets having healthy mouths and being free of pain! 🦷

These are dental radiographs recently performed in an 11-year old Chihuahua with no known dental issues. Dr. Armstrong found resorption of roots, a crown with no root attachment left, & fractured roots.

Pets with denral abnormalities often show no signs. Routine dental cleanings with radiographs (x rays) help us to identify potentially painful conditions and treat them appropriately. 🦷

Our Story

We are a full service small animal veterinary hospital in northwest San Antonio near the Dominion and Leon Springs. We are dedicated to providing high quality medicine in a welcoming and compassionate environment.

We are open Monday through Friday from 7am-6pm and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 8am to noon. Please call our office to schedule an appointment. We also welcome drop off appointments on your way to work for added convenience.
