🦷✨ Dental Before & After: Meet Winnie! ✨🦷

Winnie, a sweet 3-year-old Miniature Dachshund, recently visited us for a dental cleaning and had only a small amount of dental calculus (tartar) buildup with an otherwise healthy mouth! 🎉

Dental calculus forms when plaque hardens on the teeth over time. Even small amounts of buildup can contribute to gum irritation and dental disease if left untreated, which is why regular dental care is so important.

We're happy to report that Winnie's teeth and gums are looking great, and her proactive dental care will help keep her smile healthy for years to come! A big thank you to her family for staying on top of her preventive care and helping us keep her happy and healthy. ❤️🐾

🦷✨ Dental Before & After: Meet Nellie! ✨🦷

Nellie, a beautiful Australian Shepherd, recently visited us for a dental cleaning, and her smile is looking brighter than ever!

During her procedure, we found mild dental calculus (tartar) buildup and early gingivitis. Dental calculus develops when plaque hardens on the teeth, creating a surface where bacteria can continue to accumulate. Gingivitis, or inflammation of the gums, is often one of the first signs of dental disease and may cause redness or irritation along the gumline.

The good news? Because Nellie's dental changes were caught early, a professional cleaning was able to remove the buildup and help restore her oral health before more advanced dental disease could develop.

A big thank you to Nellie's family for staying proactive with her care—routine veterinary visits and dental cleanings play an important role in keeping our pets happy, healthy, and comfortable for years to come! ❤️🐾

This week we're celebrating Gus, our adorable 11-week-old Miniature Dachshund! ❤️

Gus may be little, but he's already won over the hearts of our entire team. One of his favorite things about visiting the vet? Treats, of course! 🍖 Every visit is a chance for Gus to collect some tasty rewards and plenty of love from our staff.

✨ Fun Fact: Miniature Dachshunds were originally bred to hunt small animals that lived in burrows. Their long bodies and short legs made them perfect for digging and exploring underground tunnels!
