We recently treated two dogs after heavy rain washed rodenticide into their yard — both pulled through because their family acted fast. (Featured on FOX 13 News - Tampa Bay💜)

These cases spike every rainy season. Symptoms can take 3–5 days to show, so don't wait. If you suspect exposure, grab the packaging and call your ER vet immediately.

So glad Murphy and Oliver are okay💜 Shoutout to Dr. Brady and our EPIC Tampa team for saving these angels! Rodenticide (rat poison) is one of the emergencies we see spike after heavy rain, since it can wash out of bait stations and into yards where pets find it. If your pet ever ingests it — or you even suspect it — don't wait for symptoms. The anticoagulant types can take days to show signs, and by then it's much harder to treat. Bring them straight in or call us. Sending healing vibes to these two sweet pups!
