WE’RE GROWING… everywhere!🍠🍅 Look at what we found when we did our Monday lookaround. The roots of a few sweet potato slips were starting to form potatoes!😍 Needless to say, they were planted ASAP. And how about those gorgeous tomatoes on the vine? All they need is some sun and warm temps.🌞

COME, they said. ‘Hey, everybody it’s lunch time,’ they said. So we came. What are the chances the hoomans will notice if we sneak a bite before they get here?😏 These therapeutic gardening lunches are the yummiest.

W😍W!! Check out this BEAUTIFUL pillow that Nina made in our Sustainable Sewing class. Kudos to Nina on her accomplishment and to Diane for leading this program. “Diane is a great teacher with a lot of patience,” Nina says. We couldn’t agree more.💚

THIS DELICIOUS DISH was made by Ms. Debbie, one of our North Philly neighbors, using our garlic scapes and broccoli along with cauliflower, mushrooms, tofu, and fried rice.

Ms. Debbie is among a small group of shut-ins to whom we deliver fresh produce on farm stand days. Volunteers Pat and Candace call each person to check in with a friendly hello and ask if they need fresh produce. Our friends can then select items, and then Pat or Candace will deliver the items to their homes.💚

When Ms. Debbie sent the photo of her dinner, she wrote: “Thank you for putting me on the list. Pat and Candace are true angels.”💚

This is why we do what we do.
