I have a dog named Roan. He is an eight year old American Staffordshire Terrier. My wife and I adopted him from Cares4Pets in 2012 when he was three months old. He loves bananas, blueberries, peanut butter and American cheese. He loves begging for food even if he knows he doesn’t like it. He loves to lick your legs after you’ve exercised. He loves laying in the dirt with his head under a lawn chair on a hot summer day. He loves to go for walks and watch movies on the couch.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t like cats, small dogs or sharing a home with our son. Roan is an incredibly affectionate and fun loving dog who has brought so much love and joy to our lives, but ever since our son began walking in March it has become increasingly evident that they cannot live together.

We are looking to re-home Roan immediately. We have reached out to almost a dozen rescues and programs but have gotten no response or a hard “no” from all of them. Re-homing or foster care is a must. We love Roan dearly and understand him. A shelter or kennel is not an environment in which he will thrive.

We've been on a small hiatus, but we have a new fundraising partner! We're working with Small Apparel, a super small kids' clothing company in Portland to design some awesome apparel! Today we wanted to share another happy story - Steve the blind pit mix! She came to us with glaucoma - she had already lost one of her eyes and was blind in the other. She was adopted that way several years ago. Recently she developed glaucoma in the other eye and it was also removed. Despite not having any eyes Stevie is happy, healthy and LOVES her family, including the other dog who helps her get around. She's a very special girl and we are so happy to have helped her find her forever home :)

Please help and SHARE! 2 older kitties need homes (together or separate), their owner is ill and can no longer care for them. Punkie is the orange tabby, he is 16 years old. He is diabetic but well controlled on daily insulin injections. Peekers is 10 years old, she's a tiny gray and white girl. She's very easy and very clean, no medical issues. Welcome to Lilly! She's a 9 year old Yorkie who came to us because she was pregnant and having trouble delivering. Turns out she needed emergency surgery for a ruptured uterus! Unfortunately we weren't able to save her pups but Lil is doing great! She will be available for adoption soon.

We just can't stop sharing photos of Flutter, our eyelid agenesis kitten. She is too cute for words! She will be having surgery on her eyelids in about a month. For now, she is enjoying being in foster care! She will be up for adoption once she heals from her surgery!
