Maximus came into UrgentVet after his owner noticed a warm lump on his abdomen. After an exam, we discovered that a small thorn had gotten lodged under his skin and caused an abscess to form. 🌿 Our team was able to drain the abscess, remove the thorn, and get Maximus started on medication to help him heal comfortably. He’s now on the road to a quick recovery! 🐾

👉 If you ever notice a new lump, bump, or swelling on your pet, it’s always best to have it checked — even something small can turn into an infection if left untreated. UrgentVet is here for you when your regular vet is closed.

Deagle came into UrgentVet and quickly took on a very important role — supervisor! 👀 He made sure the team was doing everything just right and offered plenty of moral support along the way. We think he did an excellent job keeping everyone on task (and looking adorable while doing it)! 💚

If your pet ever needs care after hours, our team is here evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This sweet boy came into UrgentVet after his owners noticed he wasn’t feeling quite like himself and was having some tummy troubles. Our team performed an exam along with testing to help get to the bottom of his GI upset and provided supportive care to help him feel better fast.

Gastrointestinal (GI) issues are one of the most common reasons pets visit us — and they can be caused by anything from diet changes to eating something they shouldn’t.

🐾 If your pet is vomiting, having diarrhea, or just seems off, UrgentVet is here evenings, weekends, and holidays

Fred had a bit of a rough day after bumping his face on a car, which caused his canine tooth to come loose. Since the tooth was already hanging on by a thread, our UrgentVet team was able to safely remove it and place a few sutures to help him heal comfortably. ❤️ After his procedure, Fred decided he needed a soft pillow—and Amanda’s leg was the perfect choice! 🥰

We’re wishing this sweet boy a speedy recovery and plenty of cuddles at home.

Mushroom season is here - and that means extra caution for pet parents. 🍄🐾

Many wild mushrooms are toxic to dogs and cats, and it’s not always easy to tell which are dangerous. Ingestion can lead to serious symptoms like vomiting, seizures, or even organ failure.

Here’s how to keep your pet safe:
Remove mushrooms from your yard as soon as you see them
Keep pets leashed during walks or outdoor play in wooded areas
If you suspect your pet ate a mushroom, seek veterinary care immediately

UrgentVet is here for sudden illnesses and accidents - no appointment needed.

Monte is a 16-year-old Ragdoll with a history of kidney disease. His family noticed he wasn’t acting like himself — feeling lethargic and losing interest in food — and worried that his kidneys might be getting worse. After running bloodwork, we were happy to see that his chronic kidney disease was stable. However, Monte was showing signs of GI inflammation, which can cause decreased appetite and low energy. Our UrgentVet team treated him to help him feel more comfortable and recommended a follow-up with his regular vet if he wasn’t eating better in a few days. 💙🐾

Senior pets can develop new health challenges even when existing conditions are under control. Keeping an eye on changes in appetite, energy, or bathroom habits is a key way to catch issues early.

👉 If you ever notice sudden changes in your senior pet’s behavior or health, don’t wait — trust your instincts and have them checked. Early care can make all the difference!
