Dr. Elizabeth Jobe was born and raised in the South, near Atlanta, Georgia, though she doesn’t have a southern accent to prove it! Her family knew she would become a veterinarian upon the discovery of her sleeping outside in the doghouse with the family pets as a child. Dr. Jobe grew up playing soccer and competed for the USA National team and Clemson University, graduating with a Bachelor of Scie

nce degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences in 2007. Upon graduation, Dr. Jobe attended The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012. Excited to get out West and to be in the mountains, Dr. Jobe moved to Santa Fe, NM to start her veterinary career; however, her love for physical therapy and sports medicine led her to pursue a more specialized career as the Rehabilitation Director and Medical Director for multiple hospitals in the northern Denver, CO area. Dr. Jobe moved to Tucson and joined PAWS Veterinary Center as both Rehabilitation Director and General Practitioner in 2016, and after a decade in the field decided the calling for ownership was the right fit. The Bailey Veterinary Medical Center was born to honor her 16-year-old dog, Bailey, who has slept under her desk and been a mascot every day at work since she became a veterinarian. Due to numerous knee surgeries from soccer injuries, Dr. Jobe spent a lot of time in physical therapy igniting her passion and appreciation for physical medicine. She received her certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) in 2013 through the advanced training program with the University of Tennessee and received her certification as a Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist (cVMA) with Colorado State University in 2014. Additionally, Dr. Jobe completed the Canine Course with the International Academy of Medical Massage for Animals in 2013. She is a Certified Fear Free Practitioner, USDA Accredited Veterinarian and member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Whenever she’s not in the office, you can find Dr. Jobe hitting the mountain bike trails with her husband Kelvin. Traveling is a passion of hers, and she hopes to hike through Patagonia some day! Downtime involves cooking, reading, and relaxing with her AKC Canine Good Citizen named Bailey, who dances for her morning kibble, cool-cat Baloo, who doubles as a fur scarf at night, and McFly, the Siberian Forest Cat who likes jumping in the shower!

Theia got lots of snuggles and love while at the hospital for her spay surgery today. She’s blind and deaf, so we made sure to give her plenty of attention and support to reduce any fear and anxiety at her visit. She’s such a love bug!

Our beautiful, new, 6000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Oro Valley, AZ is looking for another skilled veterinary technician to grow our team. We prioritize a fun work culture and offer very competitive pay to support those who make it all happen for our patients, clients, and doctor staff. That’s you! Our team will provide gold-standard conventional and integrative medicine including general practice, surgery, and rehabilitation. You will be a room technician 3 days and assist as a surgery technician 1 day per week.

As an experienced nurse, you are the key to our client/patient centered practice. You will utilize your in-depth medical knowledge and your highly developed organizational skills to manage and direct the client/patient flow in the practice. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will serve as a focal point for communicating with and educating our pet owners regarding healthcare-related issues (by phone and in person). You will oversee and maintain medical records, which incorporates your attention to detail. Additionally, you will assist our veterinarians in treating pets, monitoring anesthesia, performing lab work, performing oral health procedures and surgeries, and monitoring critically ill pets. You will also learn more about physical therapy, acupuncture and underwater treadmill that are utilized in our rehab wing of the hospital! We are excited to help you learn and grow in your career.

Raven endured multiple gunshot wounds last year that left him paralyzed. He has continued to slowly progress over the past few months with intensive physical therapy. He is determined to walk again! 💪
