Good evening! As you know with Christmas closing in we are eagerly looking forward to the holidays. We want to let you know the dates below are when the office will be closed. Our team will be taking this time off to spend the wonderful holiday season with our family and friends. Thank you for supporting us in another year and making new friends! Dr. Schumann’s sweet puppy Daisy wants to remind you now that we are sliding into fall and winter months it is still so important to continue flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Here’s a little information she wants to share!

•Fleas can survive in temperatures as low as 33°F for up to five days, and flea eggs can live in protected areas like crawl spaces, garages, and porches all year.

•Ticks are active in temperatures above 40°F.

•Mosquitoes can lay eggs in warm areas like your house, and fluctuating temperatures can disturb their hibernation.

•Heartworm- Even though mosquitoes are less active in the winter, there's still a risk of getting heartworms if you stop giving your pet prevention.
