⛰️ HAPPY NATIONAL CLIMB A MOUNTAIN DAY⛰️

Here are a few things to think about if you plan on bringing your pet? 🐕

🐾 Is the trail safe for your pup?
Steep rocks, icy paths, rough terrain, or extreme heat can be too much for dogs—even if you can handle it.
If it’s risky, it may be safer to leave them at home.

🎒 Do you have their gear?
Bring food, water, p**p bags, and extras like booties, a jacket, and a pet specific first-aid kit.

🐕‍🦺 Leash or no leash?
Even in off-leash zones, it’s smart to leash up near cliffs, wildlife (like bears 🐻 and wolves 🐺), and other hazards.

🆘 Could you carry them out if they got hurt?
If your dog can’t walk, it’s up to you to get them back. Try a practice “carry at home” so you’re not caught off guard

💡 Search & Rescue teams won’t come for pets.Their safety is your responsibility.

Bottom line: If you aren’t able to carry them out safely, it’s better to leave them home.

Happy National Creme Brûlée Day!🍮

🍬 Why Sugar is Dangerous for Dogs 🐶🚫

Think twice and dont ever share sweets with your pup! Here’s why sugar should stay off their menu:

☠️ 1. Toxic Sweeteners (like Xylitol)
Many sugar-free items contain xylitol—deadly to dogs. Even small amounts can cause seizures, liver failure, or death.

🔥 2. Pancreatitis
Fatty, sugary snacks can inflame the pancreas—a painful and serious condition.

🩺 3. Diabetes
Too much sugar can cause insulin resistance and lead to diabetes—requiring lifelong care.

🤢 4. Digestive Upset
Dogs’ stomachs aren’t made for sugar. It can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and general discomfort.

😵 5. Behavioral Swings
Sugar can cause temporary energy spikes, followed by crashes, sluggishness, or irritability.

✅ Bottom Line: Don't Share your treats. Skip the sweets. Choose dog-safe fruits or vet-approved treats instead! 🐾💚

🔥 It’s hot out there! 🔥
Did you know heatstroke can kill a dog or cat in as little as 15 minutes? High temperatures are extremely dangerous for our furry companions—especially short-nosed breeds.

Please help keep your pets safe this summer:

✅ Keep them indoors in a cool, shaded space
💧 Provide plenty of fresh, cool water
🚶 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
❌ Skip the walk entirely on very hot days
🚗 Avoid taking pets to events or on unnecessary car rides
⚠️ Short-nosed breeds like Bulldogs, Pugs, Shih Tzus, Frenchies, and Pekingese, etc, are at even greater risk

Let’s protect our furry companions from the heat! 🐾💙
Share this with other pet parents to help spread the word.
