A dog who scratches through the night. 🐱 A cat who over-grooms a patch of fur down to bare skin. These things are easy to write off as quirks, but they're often the clearest signal a pet can give us that they are uncomfortable.

Keep outdoor activities short during the hottest part of the day, always provide shade, and make sure fresh water is available wherever you go. 🐕💦
