It’s gonna be a hot one this weekend!!! 🔥🔥🔥

So, let’s talk about the seriousness of heat stroke. It doesn’t even need to be that hot for cars to become unsafely warm for pets. So make sure you’re not leaving your pet in the car this summer, even for a few minutes, and even if the window is cracked, but also that you are limiting their outdoor activity time and providing plenty of cool water. It’s important to note that once your pet is exhibiting signs of heat stroke, even if you cool them off, it may be too late. So take these precautions. Heat stroke can cause irreparable and sometimes even fatal damage.

For more information please follow this link: https://cvmbs.source.colostate.edu/never-leave-your-pet-in-a-hot-car/ and also check back next week to read a new educational blog by our very own Dr. Hansen about this topic as well: https://lyndaleanimalhospital.com/educational-blogs-by-dr-abby-hansen/

We hope everyone has a safe and happy summer!

It’s that time of year again...gnat season! If you notice any red marks that look like these on or around your pets belly, don’t be alarmed, it’s probably just some gnat bites. As long as your pet isn’t showing signs of itching or discomfort, they should resolve on their own. However, when in doubt, always feel free to give us a call to confirm if your pet should come see the one of the doctors!

ATTENTION PET OWNERS:

(If your pet was microchipped at our clinic this will not affect you as we use Home Again microchips.)

We wanted to notify our clients that if your pet’s microchip is registered with “Save This Life” the company and it’s database has shut down without warning any pet owners.
