Look at this silly lady! 🤪

Name: Asha, 9 years young!

As far as Asha’s likes are concerned, they are mainly food related. She loves breakfast and dinner time! Treats are a definite highlight.
She also love going on walks with her brother Jules, as long as they aren’t too long. Most importantly, cuddles! Bed, couch, anywhere really!

Her dislikes include baths, rain, and water in general. She gets very stressed out when other dogs bark at her. She also hates being home alone.

Asha’s favorite life memory would be finding her forever home around 6 years ago.

We made it to May! No better way to start off May than with this cute pup, Peggy! (P.S. May the “Fourth” be with you today! 🌌🛸)

Likes - Belly scratches, breakfast (kibble), playtime with her buddies, watching tv, naps, giving the side eye, and walks!

Dislikes - Her reflection, when dad leaves, being pet while napping (she'll move across the room!), and bikes!

Our senior dog of April is Leo!

Name: Leo, 11 years young!

Leo loves the winter; the colder the better. He enjoys patio dining at The Howe where he always orders the Muttloaf. Leo likes his neighbors Billy, Seamus, Zoe and Ruby; but watch out Pinkerton. He dislikes all mail carriers but especially ours, who finally retired. Leo loves to accompany his owner in the car and does not like staying home with the cat. And he let's his owner know it every single time I walk in the door!

His fondest memories when he and his dad had competed in skijoring races over the years!

Cutest puppy face ever!!!!! This is our sweet puppy of the month, Copper! 🥰🐶

Name: Copper, 15 weeks old!

Copper loves to go on walks, play frisbee, meet and play with any puppy or dog and loves eating her dad’s slippers.

Copper does NOT like loud noises, going outside in the rain, or walking in the mud, water or snow. (She prefers the dry sidewalks.)

When Copper grows up she wants to be a service dog. She is very excited to be able to visit the kids at Children’s hospital and residents at the nursing home. She is really looking forward to being able to meet, greet and just hang out with all these new friends.

She is also looking forward to being able to go to “Copper Mountain” someday. The ski area she was named after.

Our staff pet of the Month happens to be a new puppy, too! (Exciting!) Our assistant Liz recently adopted this sweet girl, Prickly Pear 🍐💖

Name: Prickly Pear, 3 months old

Likes: chasing leaves, meeting new friends, snuggling with mom, and playing with ALL of my toys -- I have to give them all attention. We can't have any of them feeling neglected!

Dislikes: when mom leaves me and when mom doesn't let me play with something -- I still don't understand that there can be things in the house that don't need to be played with

Favorite memory of her life so far: meeting my mom and my forever home!

Our kitten of the month is this lil’ munchkin, K’nehsaw! 🐱

Name: K’nehsaw, 5 whole months old! 😻

K’nehsaw’s likes: attacking the carpet, hiding under things, treats, watching the birds fly in the morning, playing chase and wrestling

K’nehsaw’s dislikes: that she can’t go outside, the blender, that she can’t play in the toilet or eat plastic

“I think K’nehsaw wants to be a bird when she grows up so she can play with them....or eat them.”

Sleeping on top of Mom's head,
hanging out in front of the screen door at the cabin watching birds and squirrels, chasing a laser pointer, pushing his food ball around to get the pellets out

Dislikes:
Being woken up from an afternoon nap, having to wait for breakfast or dinner

What is his favorite memory of his life so far?
Going out to the cabin for the first time - all the birds and squirrels plus plenty of new places to sleep

Our senior dog of the month is this sassy and sweet lady, Lottie!

Name: Lottie, 10 years young

Lottie loves: crinkle toys, chicken-flavored anything, giving way too many kisses, tap dancing on any open laptop, and her car seat.

Dislikes: personal space, not being able to give kisses, thunder, and her stroller.

Her favorite memories are anytime she’s gotten to hang out with her grandparents, her first Pup Cup at Dutch Brothers, and basically every day!

New month, new pets of the month! Our first fuzzy friend is our veterinary assistant Abbi’s bunny, Acorn! 🐰🥕

Name: Acorn, 5 year old Mini Lop

Likes: BANANAS, carrots, flopping, playing in my tunnel, snuggling in my box, digging in my hay, hanging out with mom, meeting new people, and seeing friends on FaceTime

Dislikes: car rides, grooming (!!!), when my salads aren't delivered on time, being told no

My favorite memory of my life so far is hard to choose! Being adopted by my mom a few months ago was amazing, I was returned to my rescue twice before for no good reason and I'm so happy to have a furever home now. I also loved spending a week at my future-dad's house when mom went on vacation - that guy has A LOT of carpet to play on and I loved to run under the couch!
