Trick or treat? Make it a safe treat for your pet! 🎃🐾

Halloween candy is fun for people, but it can be dangerous for pets. Chocolate can be toxic to dogs and cats, and sugar-free candy and gum may have xylitol, which is very harmful to dogs. Raisins and candy wrappers can cause problems too.

Keep the spooky season safe with these tips:
🐾 Keep candy bowls and trick-or-treat bags out of reach.
🐾 Give your pet treats made just for them.
🐾 Remind kids not to share their candy with pets.

If you think your pet ate something they shouldn't have, call your vet or an emergency animal hospital right away.

Happy (and safe) Halloween! 🧡

Your pet looks happy and healthy. That's the best time for a checkup! 🩺🐾

Pets are good at hiding when something is wrong. Regular wellness visits help your vet spot small changes before they turn into bigger problems.

At a wellness visit, your vet can:
✅ Check your pet's overall health and weight
✅ Help prevent parasites and disease
✅ Catch possible problems early

A quick visit now can mean a longer, happier life for your best friend. When was your pet's last checkup?

Is your pet always at the water bowl? 💧🐾

Drinking a lot of water can seem like a good thing. But a sudden increase in thirst can sometimes mean something is going on with your pet's health.
Swipe through to learn what to watch for 👉

Look for changes like:
✅ You're refilling the water bowl more often
✅ Your pet is drinking much more than usual
✅ Your pet needs to go out to p*e more often
✅ New accidents in the house

Every pet is different. How much water is normal depends on your pet's size, diet, activity level, the weather, and overall health. That's why it helps to know what's normal for your pet.

If you notice a big change in drinking or p*eing, or if it lasts more than a few days, check in with your vet. Catching changes early can make a big difference!

That pill bottle on your counter could be a big risk for your pet. 💊🐾

Many medicines that are safe for people can make dogs and cats very sick. Even a small dose of a common pain reliever, like ibuprofen, naproxen, or acetaminophen, can cause serious harm. Cats are especially sensitive.

Keep these tips in mind:
✅ Never give your pet human medicine unless your vet says it's okay.
✅ Store all medicines up high or in a closed cabinet.
✅ Pick up dropped pills right away.
✅ Keep your pet's medicine separate from your own.

If you think your pet swallowed something it shouldn't have, call your vet or an emergency animal hospital right away.

Have a question about your pet's health? Ask your vet first. We're always here to help! 💙

Small changes in your pet’s routine can sometimes be the first sign that something isn’t quite right. 🐾

Keep an eye out for changes in appetite or drinking, unusual tiredness, or changes in bathroom habits. You know your pet’s normal behavior best, so if something suddenly feels different, it’s worth paying attention.

Early evaluation can help identify potential health concerns and get your pet the care they need.
