How does anyone express his or her individuality without sounding well, like an alpha dog? So we're just going to tell you who we are. Fun, welcoming personalities, exceedingly knowledgeable doctors, advanced technologies, exceptional client experiences, and VIP perks all create our distinctive culture. We do not have rock-bottom prices, nor are we the most expensive vet in town. Yet, we passionat

ely strive to provide excellent medical service with value-added perks along the way. We love our existing clients & patients, and they must feel the same since we have more Facebook likes than ALL the local veterinary offices combined. Yet, we haven't let all this notoriety go to our heads; we are humbly grateful for the affection, likes, and reviews. Mixed Pet strives to help our pet community. Yet sometimes we miss the mark. Mixed Pet Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned small animal hospital in Charlotte, NC. Along with our loyal and compliant clientele, we have a fantastic team that is a cohesive, skilled, and talented group. We aspire to encourage, empower, and develop each work-family member to their potential and for the benefit of our small organization. We encourage input, ideas, and collaboration from all members.

If you want a positive, encouraging, and light-hearted culture to call home, this is the place for you! We currently offer a part-time position and are glad to accommodate your flexible needs!

We are interested in a third veterinarian to work 2-3 days a week. Ideally to perform soft-tissue surgery 1-2 days a week in the mornings and then take appointments in the afternoons and on non-surgery days. We are flexible in discussing the days/hours the candidate would like to work.

ALL aspects of our opening are open to negotiation - days, hours, pay structure, and benefits.

We highly value a work-life balance and impart amusement wherever possible:

~ We have also adjusted our hours over the years to fully support a schedule conducive to this thought process of balance, not overwhelming, and being able to maintain for the long haul. We have shorter hours than most practices: Monday - Thursday, 8-4, Friday, 8-12, and only two Saturday's a month from 8-12 (Each doctor rotates one Saturday with the appropriate level of support staff).

~ We are not shy about referring to local urgent care facilities or emergency facilities to maintain a reasonable caseload and not subject to staff burnout.

~ Our work family is a cohesive, talented, and skilled group. We are looking for candidates who easily fit into our joking, cheerful, and light-hearted culture yet have the chops and skill set required of an adept and progressive hospital.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
~ Confidence in performing soft-tissue surgeries, especially spay and neuters

~ Proficient in wellness protocols

~ Seasoned in treating sick patients

~ Establish and maintain preferred customer/client relationships, and maintain a positive, proactive, and positive reputation

~ Educate clients on products, services, and policies

~ Work closely with other members of the veterinary team to promote teamwork and efficiencies

~ Attend collaborative doctor meetings
