☕Happy National Coffee Day! ☕

Here at VCA Stoney Creek Animal Hospital, we’ll admit it — we love our coffee! Whether it’s that first cup to kickstart the morning or an afternoon pick-me-up, coffee keeps our team energized and ready to care for your pets.

But while it’s a daily must-have for many of us humans, ☕ coffee can be very dangerous for pets. Caffeine is toxic to dogs and cats and can cause symptoms such as restlessness, rapid heartbeat, vomiting, tremors — and in severe cases, even more serious health issues.

👉 Our advice: Keep your coffee (and any caffeinated drinks) well out of reach of curious paws.

Today, we celebrate the beauty, history, and pride of our home state. From the mountains to the coast, North Carolina is full of wonder — and we’re grateful to be part of this amazing community! 💙

Here are a few fun NC facts:
🐾 North Carolina is the birthplace of flight — thanks to the Wright Brothers in Kitty Hawk!
🐾 Our state dog is the Plott Hound, a breed known for its loyalty and hunting skills.
🐾 North Carolina is the largest producer of sweet potatoes in the U.S. 🥔
🐾 The Blue Ridge Mountains are among the oldest in the world.

Our sweetest stoney creek camper Ozzy has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge.
On February 19th 2014 this little firecracker came to the stoney creek family. And has loved playing ball, chasing friends and swimming. We will miss you ozzy! You were the best boy ever ! ❤️❤️❤️
