Hello everyone and happy Spring! This time of year we like to reach out to remind all of our feline owners of the dangers of Lilies. It is importantly to keep cats away from lilies as they pose a significant risk for acute, and often fatal, kidney injury. The below article is a great resource for those who would like more information, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns! If you believe your cat has come into contact with lilies, call us immediately, or take your pet to the closest emergency clinic if it is after hours.

Lilies in the “true lily” and “daylily” families are very dangerous for cats.

Good morning family and friends! We hope you've all had a fun and safe summer! We are reaching out to provide information on Proposition 129 in Colorado, which would introduce a mid-level veterinary position called a Veterinary Professional Associate (VPA). We at Front Range, as well as veterinarians throughout Colorado are against this Proposition and ask that we all vote against this Proposition, as it would negatively impact the veterinary field and the animals we work so hard to protect. Please visit this link for more information and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns! Have a great week!

Veterinarians practicing in Colorado today oppose Proposition 129. They know that adding mid-level positions doesn’t result in better clinical outcomes for animals.

Dear Front Range friends and family,

As we continue to monitor the mystery canine respiratory illness, we want to provide a quick update to our clients regarding the current situation. While we still must remain vigilant and cautious, we are seeing a decline in new cases of this illness. The reason is not entirely understood, but may be due to pet owners' efforts to isolate their canine friends and limit their social interactions. We continue to recommend staying up to date on vaccinations, including Bordatella and Influenza, and make efforts to avoid high risk activities if possible. This may include trying to avoid dog parks, kennels, daycare, etc. We still do not have an identification of the illness, but will continue to update you all when progress has been made. Please feel free to read this article recently released by CSU for a brief overview. Thank you all and have a wonderful day!
