Felicia now known as Winks is living her best life since being adopted on May 8th. Her adopter Melissa says, "She is doing SO well. We renamed her “Winks” because she does this adorable slow blink sometimes and it looks like she’s winking. She’s adjusting great and such a sweet girl. That window is her absolute favorite spot. she loves to watch the birds at the bird feeder 😊" We love follow ups that show our friends so happy in their new homes!

We’re officially in Kitten Season… and wow, are they arriving fast.
CCHS is currently flooded with kittens in the building, and we have still 70 more in foster who will be ready soon. To keep saving lives, we need to move these little ones into loving homes as quickly as we can, so we’re offering 50% off all kitten adoptions starting today. All standard adoption procedures apply.

Every kitten is spayed or neutered, up to date on medical care, and microchipped before going home. When you adopt, you’re not just giving one kitten a future, you’re opening space for the next tiny life who needs us.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a playful, purring sidekick to your family, this is the perfect moment. Please share to help us get these babies home and keep our lifesaving work moving forward.

Come meet your new best friend at CCHS.

Iva has been waiting at CCHS for 340 days, hoping for the calm, understanding home where she can finally feel safe. She’s a beautiful, independent 1‑year‑old who enjoys affection when she’s ready and thrives in a peaceful space where she can be herself. After nearly a year of watching other pets find families, she’s still waiting for someone to choose her.

This on June 11, your gift helps provide the daily care, comfort, and second chances that keep long‑stay pets like Iva going while they wait for the home they deserve. Please show up for her and for every animal who needs time, patience, and love to find their future. See the CCHS page right now at:

Meet Bow‑nita today at CCHS! She is a confident girl who knows exactly what she likes and she’s not shy about it. She enjoys having her own space, her own pace, and her own way of doing things. She’ll let you know when she’s ready for attention, and when she is, she expects it to be just right.

She can share her world with other cats as long as they respect her boundaries and understand she’s not here for drama. A peaceful, well‑managed environment where everyone minds their manners is her ideal setup.

Dogs in her face? That’s a firm no, unless they’re truly cat‑savvy and understand personal space.

If you’re looking for a self‑assured, independent companion with a sweet side that appears on her terms, Bow‑nita might just be your girl.
