This year we didnt get a full garden planted as planned. Found out our property is mostly rocks. We did us the small spot we used last year. Put old tires in back yard with bagged soil. This is a roma tomato plant

Do you like BLTs as much as we do? The next time you make yourself a sandwich, think about the hardworking farmers and ranchers who grew those delicious ingredients.

As you'll see in our latest Farmer's Share, farmers and ranchers receive less than 16 cents out of every dollar that you spend on food. Here's how your BLT breaks down:

-Bread: For every dollar you spend on bread, farmers only receive 3 cents.
-Lettuce: When you spend a dollar on lettuce, the farmer gets 13.6 cents of that.
-Tomato: $1 worth of tomatoes equals only 13 cents in the farmer's pocket.
-Bacon: Just 15 cents of your dollar of bacon goes to your farmer.
