Growing up in the home of a breeder I have always had a love for dogs. When I was hired at The Resource Center as an art instructor, I began to bring “Faith” my black lab in. Right away I noticed that having my dog in the room changed the atmosphere in the art room. Intrigued by the enormous difference I began to research service dogs and the qu

alifications they would need. I have been breeding and training dogs now for the last seven years and love it. I have become a behavior specialist for dogs and work with owners and rescues, training people how to work with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. With my interest in training service dogs I have been breeding Petite or Miniature Golden Retrievers, and Mini Golden Doodles. Petite and Miniature Golden Retrievers are a hybrid, similar to the goldendoodles. These pups look just like a small golden retriever. This gives a great temperament and small size, but also some hypoallergenic and decreased shedding traits. Calling them goldendoodles would be misleading. They have a high percentage of golden retriever and a small percentage of poodle to create a great service dog or family pet. These pups rage between 25 and 45 pounds full grown. Dog classes are officially underway! 🐾

We wrapped up our second week of classes on Sunday, and what a great group we have. From sweet puppies to wonderful adult dogs, it’s been a joy getting to know each team.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is seeing where everyone starts and knowing how much growth is ahead. In just a few short weeks, these dogs and their families will have more confidence, better communication, and a stronger bond with one another.

Training isn’t just about teaching commands—it’s about building trust, understanding, and a relationship that lasts a lifetime. I’m excited to watch each of these teams continue to grow together. ❤️

Meet Luigi, Micah, and Louie.

Each one has his own personality, but they all share the same sweet start in life—early socialization, daily handling, exposure to children, new experiences, and lots of love.

From exploring the yard and learning recall to cuddling in little arms and playing in the ball pit, these boys have been busy preparing for life with their future families.

🐾 Luigi — gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to his people.

🐾 Micah — brave, curious, and always ready to explore something new.

🐾 Louie — sweet, silly, and full of charm.

Watching these puppies grow has been such a joy. Their forever families are out there somewhere, and we can’t wait to see the adventures that await them.

🐾 Big Milestone Day for Ruby’s Puppies! 🐾

Ruby’s little Mini Goldendoodle crew checked off another important step on their puppy journey this week — their puppy wellness exams and vaccinations! 💉❤️

We’re happy to report that these sweet babies did wonderfully and handled their visit like little champions. Every vet visit gives us another opportunity to make sure our puppies are healthy, thriving, and ready for the adventures ahead.

At this age, we’re focused on much more than just cuddles and cute faces. We’re laying the foundation for confident, healthy family companions through:
✨ Early socialization
✨ Environmental exposure
✨ Gentle handling exercises
✨ Grooming preparation
✨ Veterinary care and preventative health

These little ones are growing so quickly, and it’s hard to believe they’re getting closer to joining their forever families. Watching them gain confidence, explore new experiences, and develop their unique personalities is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

🐾 Meet Little Leo 🐾

This handsome little guy is one of Ruby’s Mini Goldendoodle puppies, and he has already stolen a few hearts around here. 💙

Leo is the smallest of the litter and is expected to be around 15 pounds full grown, making him a wonderful size for families looking for a smaller companion without sacrificing that fun-loving retriever personality.

He is sweet, gentle, and loves being close to his people. Whether he’s following you around the house, snuggling on the couch, or carrying around his favorite toy, Leo is happiest when he’s part of the action.

One question we get often is the difference between our Mini Goldendoodles and our Teddy Coat Retrievers.

✨ Mini Goldendoodles (like Leo) typically have curlier coats and a more doodle-inspired appearance.

✨ Teddy Coat Retrievers have a softer wavy coat and tend to resemble a miniature Golden Retriever while still offering lower shedding than a traditional Golden.

Both are wonderful family companions—the biggest differences are coat type, appearance, and adult size.

And let’s be honest… Leo seems pretty confident that whichever one you choose, life is simply better with a puppy. 🐶❤️

One of the most valuable parts of raising well-rounded puppies is making sure they are exposed to people of all ages, personalities, and abilities. While we put a lot of time into our socialization program, we couldn’t do it without the amazing volunteers who generously share their time and hearts with our puppies.

From cuddles on the couch to playtime, grooming practice, and everyday interactions, each visit helps our puppies build confidence and learn that people are safe, fun, and rewarding to be around.

These experiences play an important role in shaping the family companions our puppies will become. Every gentle touch, every lap to snuggle in, and every new friendship helps prepare them for success in their future homes.

To all of our volunteers—thank you. Your kindness, patience, and love make a difference far beyond what you may realize. These puppies are better because of you, and we are incredibly grateful for your support. 🐾❤️
