Great Falls Equestrian, LLC Coming soon--Great Falls Equestrian! And they are thrilled to still have Sharon on board, continuing to teach students as well.

Situated on over 30 acres in the heart of Great Falls, Great Falls Equestrian is a multi-discipline equestrian facility offering top notch training for riders of all levels, and premium care for their horses. Longtime Great Falls residents and horse community standard bearers Sharon and Harry Huber are handing the reins of the facility on Arnon Chapel Road (formerly operated as Deerfield Farm, Gre

at Falls Horse Center, and most recently as the Hubers' Stoneridge Farm) to a new team with Great Falls Equestrian. Wendy Masemer; a top level eventer, lifelong Great Falls inhabitant, and former student of the Hubers; and Lauren Dearlove; a successful trainer specializing in young horses, and formerly a beloved instructor with Great Falls Pony Club; will be taking over and are excited to carry on the long standing tradition of training young riders and fostering a love of horses in the next generation. Wendy and Lauren have a deep background in the hunter, eventing, and dressage worlds, and are proudly welcoming riders of all disciplines and levels to come train with Great Falls Equestrian. They hope to give riders a chance to experience different types of riding and competitions, and to help riders find their passion and pursue their callings.

The horse show at Turner Farm Events was an all day affair, so a full recap will have to wait for later. But for now, please enjoy Hornet as the many moods of his spirit guide, Wendy: a) caffeine hound; b) the consummate professional; and c) a winner, baby!

A fun, easy day out at The Maryland Horse Trials Highland Series Horse Trials yesterday, taking two great pairs. Bridget and Birdie tackled their first horse trials together with confidence and flair, coming in 5th in a big, competitive Beginner Novice division. Emmett and Hazelnut put down some lovely dressage tests for the test of choice at the end of the day, despite some blustery conditions. Really proud of both riders, and thrilled to see their hard work paying off. We’ll share some video later, but huge thanks to Erin Gilmore Photography and her team for the lovely shots of Bridget and Birdie!

Because it’s spring, and springtime brings to mind babies and new growth, Lauren has been indulging us with more pics of her youngsters. The yearlings are a tad leggy, and a wee bit friendly, to say the least.

Lauren welcomed her first baby of the year this morning! This beautiful filly is 3rd generation Parade Field Farm, Lauren bred her dam and her grand-dam as well. We guess that accounts for just how pretty she is! One down, many more to go; if you see Lauren this spring, she could use some caffeine and a sweet treat.
